I wouldn't call an average of 28 points per 82 games is limited unless we're also prepared to call Sekera or Lindholm's offensive ability such as well. He's still a decent producer and strong puck mover.
- MaximumBone

It's average for playing a top 3 role. He's not an above average offensive player. His career high is 5 goals and 33 points.

Again, he's really good, but the only type of D man Hall should go for is a Subban, Shattenkirk type of producer

Does anyone know what the personal issue is with Hamonic?

As I said that's my opinion. Hall at 6 vs Kane at 10.5? Plus I absolutely can't stand Kane. I would never want him on my team. Uber douche.
- Iggysbff

I would agree with that too
I'd rather have Hall at 6 than Kane at 10.5 in Calgary
Cap hit/affordability is a huge aspect on player's value

a family member had an illness.. family member now has stabilized and apparently the situation is much better. That's pretty much all he's said on it. Had nothing to do with the islanders, just about him wanting to be closer to home.

Honestly, to me that sounds like another request waiting to happen. I mean it obviously all depends on the particular health/condition of the family member but still, if he wants to be close to aging family members I don't think that is something that just goes away because someone's condition temporarily* improves. Hamonic seems like a very family-oriented kinda guy to me so I doubt he would complain about being closer to his family regardless.

*I say temporarily because I don't know the circumstances and eventually all of our conditions degrade.

Not straight up. Put it this way, I wouldn't accept JT for Doughty/Subban/Karlsson unless I had another Superstar defender on the team.

I agree that Hamonic alone doesn't get it done. But this is a trade destined to happen. Maybe the Isles add their 1st this year and Ho-Sang? Maybe Dal Colle? Although I think that's too much. I think Hamonic, Bailey and the 19th would even been a fair deal

he had a real nice season last year and he gets limited PP time. While he isn't lights out he is defensively sound and is a solid 3rd liner. He has some value.

Take Yakupov for example, you guys want something for him in a trade right? I know he is much younger and has potential. Comparable numbers the last few seasons

Yak has a better contract, way more upside and is cost-controlled for much longer. Bailey is not worth what he costs in AAV especially considering the term remaining.

Bailey has two years at 3.3 million cap hit left. That's negative value.

Yak has one year at 2.5 then RFA status.

Big difference.

Now we're dealing hall for hamonic and the add ins to sweeten the pot is Josh fuking Bailey ??!!

Yeah, no thanks

If hall is the only piece that's gonna get hamonic for isles fans, let's just end this conversation. Not interested regardless of the number of mediocre assets you add in

Whoops, thought he had 3 years remaining. Still not interested in Bailey at $3.3M to be a 3rd line LW anyways.
