You can make any place enjoyable to live in if you put in the effort.. But Edmonton is pretty low on the list of good Canadian cities to live in..

Halak almost took Price's job...when Price was just starting out and really wasn't that great.
Elliot is the perfect example of playing in front of a defensive team.

Anyway...like I said. I liked the trade. Didn't mind the extension (going rate). Just don't put him as a superstar. Now if you plays well in front of a Leaf team that will likely struggle this year then I may change my mind.

Fair enough, Elliot is a really good goalie and St Louis will have to expose one of two. Also is a good guy, (I know his family) Winnipeg should trade for him, would be an improvement over what they have.

I'd take 50 games and be thrilled.

Just give the team a chance to win every night and he'll be worth every penny.

Being able to count on one deflating goal every game, like we have with soft-serve, is not the way to instill confidence in your team

Calling him Schenn 2.0 just makes you look silly.
He is an agile very good skating big dman that is capable of shutting down the other team.

The only similarity he has with Schenn is that they both like to hit guys - accept one of them actually play defense really well.

Pair him with Rielly and that's a very nice top 2 for this team.

Edit, also, as for Winnipeg willing to deal him....umm, have you seen their defense? Someone needs to move.
