I keep hearing more about a Sens-Sabres deal centered around Ennis and Hoffman. Not 1 for 1 but it's something to talk about
YESS!!! YESSS!!!! YESSS!!!!! YESSS!!!!! - JVince11
I saw that too. I would love to get Hoffman. Who else do you think is involved in the trade? Some prospects or picks?

There is the bias, i fully believe if he were not Russian, he would be welcome here. - ImThatGuy
If he wasn't Russian people would be calling him Cody Hodgson, and people would be saying 'been there, done that.'
That being said, I think it's worth a late 3rd to give him a shot. |

Two days til Stammergeddon - SABRES 89
Why is that Stammergeddon? I know that's when we can talk to him but I feel Stammergeddon would be July 1st when he comes to Buffalo to sign with us and in front of Tim Murray rips off his jacket to reveal a Leafs sweater and does a Leg Drop on Murray while Vesey puts Pegula through the table. RJ is heard in the backgroud screaming "Bah Gawd he kill'd him!" Babcock nods approvingly from his feed atop the CN tower. |

I still think Ennis has potential to be a good 2nd liner for a team. He has speed to kill and moves galore, just sometimes tries to do too much and dekes himself into a corner. I felt he was responsible defensively and for his size he could actually throw some decent checks. But yeah give me Hoffman |

Hoffman is a natural LW which we need and was about 30 and 30 last year i believe
Ennis is a center which we're kinda abundant at, and is starting to worry people with injuries.
I think they are roughly the same age. no idea on contracts |

Offensively he's a more consistent threat. I'd say Ennis is better in his own zone. Hoffman is like Cody Hodgson bad. |

The Hall to Buffalo trade is still being discussed. A major roadblock would be how the 2nd and 3rd pick situation pans out

Honestly we still did okay in that trade. Hodgson sucks now but he was okay for like what, 2 years? The problem is he fell off a cliff after that. But for what we gave up I still do that trade back then.
Basically what is better, eating a piece of poop or 2 pieces of poop? We only had to eat 1. |

He fits the profile of what Murray wants?
He's a better goal scorer.
He doesn't have the injury issues.

Ennis is worse, it just looks like hes better cuz hes running all over the place looking like hes trying hard when in fact all it shows is hes constantly out of position. Not that Hoffman is good but he is in fact better than Ennis. |

@NHLRumorsDaily Right. Buffalo will help NYR clear cap space so that they can offer stamkos a deal but Buffalo can't. Got it.
You're so saucy. |

Ennis didn't do CRAP in this system even next to ROR on the top line then next to Eichel on the 2nd line from October to December before his concussion.
I wouldn't be bat an eye. |
