Or, if the price for Fowler is too high, sign Soupy. He seemed to have plenty left in the tank last year, and 1 2 year deal bridges the gap until are kids are ready to play (just like Nash) |

Find a taker for Franson.
Nice thing about him is his salary is lower than his cap hit (could help a cap bottom feeder)
Sign Soupy anyways. |

A) Hossa is more than likely a HOFer, Nash isn't.
B) Hossa's worst season since his rookie year was last year at age 37
C) Nash has had 2 sub 40 point seasons in his last 3
D) IMO he's starting to break down
E) He's kind of an enigma come playoff time (which is the furthest thing Hossa is)
F) This is where he fits in as far as options go for this team IMO. - dadeadhead
A. I understand Hossa has had a better career. They are similar players. Big, can skate, shoot, and play 200 ft.
C. You are counting the lockout year in which he still scored 20 goals
-Edit- 39 points in 65 games year after lockout
E. Like almost every player, his playoff performance gets way too much attention, he has 18 points in his last 24 playoff games.
It's 2 years that won't effect our cap unless Stamkos is here and we can't unload literally anyone |

Jets GM Kevin Cheveldayoff says he's getting calls on his No. 2 pick but at this point none of the offers are anything he would consider
and, for you offer sheet fan..
Pierre LeBrun @Real_ESPNLeBrun 20m20 minutes ago
Cheveldayoff says he would "certainly" match any offer sheet for RFA Trouba |

I work outside now too. I pack 6-8 bottles of water and 1-2 gatorades with my lunch cooler.
I don't have to work until 10, so traffic usually clears up before I go, plus I don't work near the strip, unless I have a delivery there. - markyjoe
What do you do out there? I'm looking to move out your way in the next few months. I have a potential job lined up right now, but I think I'm going to come even if I don't get it. I have enough cash saved up for 9-10 months of living expenses. |

That's an idea of the cost, as expressed by Murray, to get into the top 3. |

I hate rick nash(only room for one #61) but..
He played on some very poor CBJ teams and honestly never with a pure #1 center(still has great numbers).
But both him and Hossa are extremely underrated defensively |

The lock out year was 12/13
13/14 he had 39 points and last year he had 36, 2 of the last 3.
He has 33 points in his last 61 playoff games which is close to his stat line from last year, 36 in 61.
He shouldn't be an option until mid August for this team. |

Agreed unless NYR says we will give you Nash hold 50% and we will take Two third round picks. |

So we are going to go back 4 years to point out his underwhelming playoff performance, but only go back 3 years to point out his regular season performance?
A biased argument.
He's a cheap (trade cost) top 6 player that is a Murray type of forward. He absolutely will be an option. |

At that point he costs you a lot more than a 3rd. Keeping his salary is what makes us an option. |

I would take Nash, but it is going to be for a Cap dump and that is it, I am not giving the Rags anything of value.

He has had 2 very underwhelming playoffs and 2 dreadful regular seasons in NY.
For what they gave up to get him.
They lost out huge.
He shouldn't be an option til mid August.
Harnall should be an option over Nash by a large margin.
