Yesterday our hockey expert Paul Hamilton was atrocious while talking about the draft. I mean not that I expect him to know all the draft prospects but I feel he should at least know the top 10 and while talking about teams taking D he said, "that Russian kid". What has he been doing for preparation the last few months?????!!!!!

I like Fowler's speed, and he's capable of playing top 4 minutes. But he's an offensive defenseman who is only average offensively and less than good defensively.

He's going to be 25 in December. He is what he is.

Disagree, Not saying he is going to turn into an all-pro top 2 d-man, but I do expect him to improve a bit for at least another 2-3 years and then level off.

The defense needs more fixing than the offense. If we add Fowler (seems inevitable at this point) we're going to need another top 4 D. Fowler Risto / McCabe Bogosian is a scary thought.

So he's Franson but better. And I'm already playing Franson. So if I take out Franson and put him in my defense will be better. So I'm good with it. I'm losing (reportedly) 2 pieces that I want to get rid of anyways, so I'm pretty okay with this deal.

The whole Anahiem team struggled offensively this year. Him running our PP would pad the stats a bit. I like him a hell of a lot more then Gorges on the first pair with Risto. Even if he is a 3-4 at best we are expecting Risto to be a bonafide #1 and Fowler is a lot better then whoever played with Letang this postseason or Seidenberg who was Chara's partner when the Bruins won their cup.

Based on what? Because everyone keeps saying that? Goals for we were 26th. Goals against we were 16th. The offense played worse than the defense. You can't win games scoring 1 or 0 goals. The offense needs a lot more fixing when you have Foligno being depended on for points.
