No doubt Shatty is the Sh!t(y) but realistically getting both is not realistic, and which of the 2 do we have a better chance of getting?

If we land Stammer and Hoffman, Vesey is a Leaf or Bruin, and we lose a third and nobody in Buffalo cares.

Fowler is better then Carlo by a long shot, Franson is concrete on skates and Psysk is the whipping boy. you want to make the D better you grab Shattenkirk even though he's a RHD.

Since I was told about Hoffman, I haven't heard anything about him since and that was before uncle Brian stepped down. They are cautious when it comes to Vesey, it's not a done deal he signs but Murray feels pretty good about it.

Several categories where McCabe is significantly better, including shot suppression which is hysterical given that mccabe was partnered with bogo and fowler was on a team who was amongst the best in this category. Granted he had to play with bieksa but bieksa's numbers got better when he was away from fowler. Of course competition might have something to do with that but still.

You're not even the one I was having this discussion with but since you butted in. Fowler is an above average player and considering we had Josh (frank)ing Gorges playing with Risto last year Cam Fowler is a huge improvement

Fowler is a proven player and top QB on the power play. Also can clear the puck. Case closed. If McCabe improves a lot then yeah I'll give him credit but right now he isn't as good as Fowler.

I had this same debate last year about people female doging about O'Riley and everyone changed there tune a few weeks into the season. I expect the same with Fowler when we get him tomorrow. As long as it's not for 8

Quick, someone cherry pick a stat from one of the Bogos seasons on the worst team in modern history and put it up against a banner year for Fowler

Tim Murray emerged from the NHL general mangers meetings Thursday night the Hyatt Regency with this bit of news: He's not moving up in Friday's NHL Draft, although it's not for a lack of trying.

"Right now I can't move up into the top three, so I don't see a point of moving to four or five or six," Murray told The Buffalo News. "There's three guys I've said all along we're interested in. We may have a choice but I doubt it. That's how we read the draft. We're happy with those three guys. There's no point in moving to four or five. We don't see that big a difference to play a big price."

The Sabres are believed to covet two defensemen out of the trio of London's Olli Juolevi, Windsor's Mikhail Sergachev and Sarnia's Jakob Chychrun. So while No. 8 is the highest it appears the Sabres will pick, there's no guarantee they will make the pick.

Several sources say talks continue between the Sabres and Anaheim Ducks for defenseman Cam Fowler, and it's a good bet the No. 8 pick could be part of the package. Murray, of course, isn't talking specifics but did say "things are getting clearer and there are players available" now that the salary cap for next year is set at $73 million.
