O'Reilly came with a reputation of being a great two way forward who does all the little things well but as east coast fans we never really got a chance to see. Fowler does not carry that same reputation. If anything it sounds like the opposite. A few flashy plays covering up for a plethora of defensive errors and mental mistakes.

Lower is bad. Bogo's number is better. But relative Corsi is based off your teammates. Anaheim has a lot of very good defensemen, Buffalo does not, so it makes sense that Bogo's relative Corsi is higher.

Agreed, but the rest of his advanced stats dont look great either, that means something.

Advanced stats are cool and all but people rely on them way too much now. They look at a number and go that guy, terrible. Don't even have to watch the game to know.

Plus they can be twisted in soo many ways.

Just tool a look at the Laffs thread. They seem to hate the idea of getting Subban if it were possible. One guy said he hopes if he were moved it was to a team he hated, like us.

Ducks fans are saying Fowler for Reinhart because they're from Anaheim and spend a lot of time at Disneyland. Why would a general manager feel the need to trade a 24 year old defenseman with a reasonable cap hit?

I could live with #8 for Fowler and #24, anything else makes me want to puke.

If that is the deal, then GMTM still has currency with Girgs and Ennis to do another trade I would guess....Hoffman as well? Get Stammer and Vessey, roll 3 scoring lines plus an offensive D and let them go out score teams 6-5!

I seem to see mixed reviews on him. Some think highly. Some think he is a flash I the pan offensively and a defensive liability

Because they are budget team for reasons I don't understand and elder Murray doesn't want to put all that money into defense and knows that Lindholm will be expensive. Also they have a few younger guys in Theadore and Montador who have ELC for another two years I believe. If you have to get rid of one it makes more sense for him to get rid of the guy who only has two years left on a deal that pays him 4mill

I've been wondering if maybe this is part of a bigger trade. Maybe Perry sneaks in there and we include 8 and the usual suspects? The Ducks might want to go towards a bit of a youth movement.

Yeah. That's a crap sandwich type of trade. They will want something higher value to start.

RoR, Kane, Rein, Ech, are already top 6 and set to be so, Vesey? and Stammer? is what looks like what GMTM wants to finish out the top 6. If we go after Hoff it should be after July 1st so we know about Stammer, or even after we get Vesey on paper. I would hate to see Vesey sign somewhere else because we went after Stammer and Hoff and now he thinks GMTM's promise of being in the top 6 is in jeopardy.
