I never said the 8th pick, deal I heard was Girgensons for Fowler, I'm sure there is more to it but that's what I was told

Once again, only Tampa can sign him to an 8 year deal.

Gives him 12M more on the contract is my guess. 8x12 is better than 7x12, as I don't think he will be getting a 12M/yr deal 7 years from now.

My point was that there are some people who think he gave up a lot of assets to make those trades happen, and because of that, Murray may be more than willing to trade #8 for Fowler which most people here (including myself) don't want to see happen.

That's great... I would love for them to keep the pick because there's just something about not having a pick when you're hosting the party that just feels wrong. If we traded it for a true #2 that would be totally understandable, but I want to see us selecting somewhere in round 1 tomorrow. But, I do like Nylander, first I've heard of interest in Brown though.
