I'd be ok with that, not thrilled, but ok. Montour is a beast. 57P in 68GP as a defenseman in the "A". As long as he's not TJ Brennan 2.0. Montour was on the all-rookie team, a first team all-star, and rookie of the month for November. He's put up points everywhere he's gone including 20P in 21GP at UMass(Amherst).

Quality over quantity..there are only so many top 6 positions on a team and top 4 D and starting G. Darcy had us loaded with bottom 6 talent, 4-8 D; and backup goalies. All that led to 30th overall..twice.

Yeah, we're not thin on center, and I admit I don't know much about Brown. I could be wrong but it seems like a stretch to take him at #8. Last rumor I heard was that Murray liked 2 of the 3 defensemen and a forward, those three he's hoping to be there at #8.

Thats what they tell me this side of the bridge. "He's coming home" from downtown folk. Any word on the ask? it gives you a lot of guys needing protection from expansion, have to think a roster player would be going the other way.

Why is it ..... generally speaking, the first thing people always mention when talking about a "great" defenseman is how many points they score? Shouldn't their value as a "great" defenseman actually revolve around how well they play defense?
