I had stuff thrown at me and stuff like that but no one tried doing anything. People started shaking my hand on the way out and telling me good game like I was one of the players on the ice. I was 17 at the time and I was one of probably 30 people including the players who had the jersey so I guess they had decent odds

I had this old Blue Jays fan, mid 60s I'd say, wearing a safari hat, a fanny pack, and carrying a cane try to argue with me that BJ Ryan was a better closer than Mariano Rivera. I was so angry with that dude I thought I was going to get booted out of the Rogers Center

Went to the Sabres/Hawks game here back in December. Bachelor party in front of me with about 8 Canadians who were Leafs fans. They were completely inebriated, smack talking how sh***y Buffalo was and that they only came because ticket prices were cheaper. Got into three different arguments with surrounding Sabres fans and chanting "Eichel sucks" while suggesting he will leave after his ELC because "nobody half decent would ever want to stick around here". They were kicked out at least.

The problem with the Leaf fan base is simply the size of it.
I don't think, percentage wise, the Leafs have any more crazy homer fans than any other base (let's say it's 25% of each fan base that is nuts) but 25% of a Massive number is much bigger than 25% of a much smaller number - therefore Crazy Leaf fans are just louder than most.

The problem with the Leaf fan base is simply the size of it.
