As others mentioned above, Nylander can play in the AHL. The CHL Transfer Agreement only applies to players who were drafted by a CHL club. Since Nylander wasn't, he's not subject to it.

Grigorenko was drafted 2nd in 2011. Grigorenko couldn't play in the AHL.

It's a fact he can play in the AHL. He was on loan from Sweden club. Its a benefit of him. Rumor is currently though that he will go back to Sweden for a year
