He is a very physical stay at home d man that is well rounded elsewhere as well. Only 25 years old. Has spent 7 years in NHL. Never was in AHL. Could be a nice anchor

It is a LHD stay at home guy that allows Risto to be more offensive if wanted. He is a top 4 pairing guy. Not a superstar but does his job and is very physical.

TM wasn't going to protect Pysyk and knew we would lose him in the expansion so we traded and for something for him.

We moved UP 2nds and had to throw in a 3rd. So what. We hit about 4 birds with one stone here.

I think it's a good deal, Pysyk was overrated IMO.

so buffalo did none of these things and toronto even grabbed a guy (grundstrom) you wanted .

the sabres got to select eichel and reinhart #2 in back to back years.
the fans have no right to be butthurt the leafs get matthews and the babcock thing happened a year ago.
