Stamkos would make $4.6M post-tax if the #Habs signed at $10M per. |

Cap Friendly has great breakdown of what he would make post taxes in all 30 cities. Gets paid the most in Nashville and Tampa. Get's paid the least in Montral, Toronto and NY. |

Ironically, Montreal, Toronto, and NY are the 3 cities where he stands to make the most in endorsements. |

Toronto and Montreal are definitely the two cities where he wouldn't be able to walk the streets without being attacked |

Glad I'm not the only one. You'd think after a decade of site failures Eklund would figure this out. Friday is going to be a dumpster fire here. |

I was blown away when I read an article about that last year. I had no idea players had to pay income tax to every state they play in. Makes perfect sense though.

How is $6.5M a great cap hit?
I like the dependability and well-rounded aspects of Step's game, but his holding out forced Slats into over paying him by about $1M per. - Tonybere
3rd line centers are routinely getting 5.5 mil plus in today's NHL. I think 6.5 long term is quite fair for Stepan. |

I agree, just not crazy about the NMC. Definitely want to keep Step, but we might have to move him before that kicks in. |

Say what you want about him but apparently he was very professional with the Pack and was helping the kids a lot. |

I always kind of felt bad for what happened to him. As much as that salary was an abomination, I think his career was pretty much ended because the CBA in place then gave teams no flexibility in situations like that. The Rangers had to bury him. They had no other choice, and that kind of sucks for the player.

Yup, I didn't feel bad necessarily, how could you feel bad for a guy making that much money. I respected the hell out of him for not sulking and making the best of an unfortunate situation. |
