We might sign Stamkos. We might not. Either way we won't know until July 1st. Either way we move forward. I think having the draft here could not have come at a better time. We made a heck of an impression an analysts, draftees, organizations and through word of mouth, players. The hockey community is small and tight-knit. Whether it's this summer, next summer or beyond we are slowly shedding the former perception of our town.

we got his rights to evaluate our chances so we knew prior to August 15th if we had a shot at signing him. We wanted to know if he was going to be part of the plans while building the team in July. i think that was worth a 3rd rounder.

Sure, instead of being the small, cold, cloudy, desolate city that only has snow, chicken wings, and superbowl losses we're the small, nice weather in the summer, desolate city that only has snow, chicken wings, superbowl losses, and canalside.
