Here is the issue I see with Kane: When i was in my early 20's I bartended down there and was in the bars almost every damn night. My friends own all the bars now. All of those Sabres were always out. The difference is they got associated with some of the right people down there and whenever they went out they had a crew that included some of the most badass bouncers down there. Not these clowns now who take steroids and think they are tough, real actual bouncers. Nobody would even mess with those guys because of who they rolled with. Same went for Roy and that generation of Sabres. They all hung with the right crowd. Rasmus and crew do the same thing now. Kane came into town for that camp he did with the top draft eligible players and went out. He doesn't spend enough time here to befriend the right people. He IS a target whether you people want to accept that or not. Guys are jealous of him. He's a young guy with tons of money and can pull super models. You get some dumb guy drunk off fireball and all of the sudden he is a badass and wants to start poop. My advice to Kane would be to get in touch with the right crew to hang with and they will keep the clowns away from him. - soljor09
This is the best post yet on this topic.
You know why? Because 1) it speaks from knowledge; 2) it does not condemn, exclusively, and 3) it does not excuse, exclusively. It's rational and informed.
The point here, I think, is that the guy hasn't done anything wrong, but he hasn't done enough right. I think, in one form or another, that's what all of us are trying to say. It's just a question of how shrill and how far to one side or the other we want to fall. (Nobody should be shrill.)

I believe the 9 game tryout is still in place. He just won't have to go back to junior after if he doesn't stick. |

I would hope AN will play in Rochester this year. Maybe he could bring Asplund with him. I would go down there to watch those cats play. |

Connolly was a beast back in the day what he could've been if you didn't have concussion issues .. That Ottawa series it was incredible to watch |

This is true. When you watch the old footage before the concussions he was incredible. Just never learned to skate head up. |

This is what I hate *no offense seedy* Kane is innocent until proven guilty.
The girl is a low life scum on social media trying to make herself famous. Aka she is guilty.
Why are they both not given a fair "innocent until proven guilty" - ImThatGuy
Her twitter feed is proof of her character. and its self generated.
No one has proof of what Kane did. so that's why its stll up in the air.
Look, i have a wife, an mother and a sister. im sensitive to the fact that women can get shamed. But none of those three women in my life called a black guy "nigga" on twitter and then LOL'd about it.
She's getting way more attention than she deserves. even on this board. |

Was going to agree with Gerbe, but mention just this. He did get experience on the smaller sheet and put up points while adjusting to it quite well. At this point, I think him going back and playing against BIGGER and STRONGER players might help a guy who's biggest knock is his softness. I think the SHL is a better league, so I don't have a problem seeing as he did see what NA hockey was like already while on loan. |

I saw him at Best Buy a year or two after he was traded for. He bought like $800 in DVD's and PS2 games. |

True .. But it's up to him what he prefers I'm sure in some players eyes the AHL
Is a downgrade with the fan atmosphere etc
I'm just scared someone's just going to run at him and take out his head In the AHL

I'm still really giddy that the Sabres took a speedster they are following the Pittsburgh Penguins blueprint
You get vesey, nylander , jack on one line good luck stopping that |

If they move Kane now there are 3 holes in the top 6 (2 if you count Ennis in the top 6 which I really don't want)
Player X ROR Player Y
Player Z Eichel Reinhart - Stripes77
I'm not ready to write Kane off,
But I do get the concern
I also like Ennis
If he's in our top6, he'll produce just fine
If we get Stamkos,
I really like the idea of him, Eichel & ROR on separate lines
Just roll 3 lines
Team them up on the PP |
