I'm still really giddy that the Sabres took a speedster they are following the Pittsburgh Penguins blueprint
You get vesey, nylander , jack on one line good luck stopping that - GERBE!!!75PTS

Every year that "Blueprint" changes, Physical punch you in your mouth one year then Top heavy top 6 with Good minutes from very cheap bottom 6 to Spreading scoring over 3 lines, It makes me weary mimicking my team after another team. |

Wow, Lindros got in the HOF. Don't get me wrong, when he was healthy he was the best player in the league, but he only played in 760 games. His 865 points are really good. I don't know. He's a bubble guy for me. He just didn't have the longevity. Really through no fault of his own. well, other than he didn't know to keep his head up when Scott Stevens was on the ice. |

I believe the 9 game tryout is still in place. He just won't have to go back to junior after if he doesn't stick. - Wetbandit1
If he goes to the AHL though then his ELC starts
The only way we get a pass is if he plays in Europe, Juniors, or NCAA |

In that case, 9 game tryout with the Sabres then ship him off to Sweden? |

Don't forget about goalies. This year it's "you don't need a goalie", to last year when the goalies made like $12M combined. The best, healthiest team won. It usually happens every year. You can't chase a "blueprint", or you'll always come up short, because by the time you get it, they'll be on to the next. |

Hottest team coming into the playoffs with a flash in a pan type of Goalie play usually go really far in the playoffs, I agree with everything you said. |

While I agree somewhat, the Balckhawks won 3 cups with some of the fastest teams. New York was maybe the fastest team the last few years and have been successful.
Speed kills in the playoffs. |

Absolutely. You need speed. I'm just more broadly saying that chasing a particular setup is a recipe for failure. In order to cash in the most you have to be the one setting the trend. Somewhat tangentially related "The Big Short" was really good. Definitely worth a watch. Will probably piss you off a bit, but it's quite good. |

Time will tell.
(frank) Montreal and Boston, I'm thinking Leafs/Sabres could be the hottest rivalry in the league over the next few years - WingmanWillie
It'll be Crosby/Ovi for the next 25 years, until theyre both mummies. |

The Nice Guys looked like that kind of movie. Where it could've been like The Other Guys, but likely was Starsky and Hutch. |

Where's 365? I can't believe Iceland beat England today.
Edit: I totally missed the Messi retiring from international play. I watched the game last night and it was certainly a brutal loss, and apparently Argentina's soccer organization is in big trouble, but I think he's just being hasty and come next year when World Cup qualifying starts to ramp up I have a feeling he'll change his mind. |

I'm not ready to write Kane off,
But I do get the concern
I also like Ennis
If he's in our top6, he'll produce just fine
If we get Stamkos,
I really like the idea of him, Eichel & ROR on separate lines
Just roll 3 lines
Team them up on the PP - jdfitz77
I've been thinking lately. if we got Veasy and Stamkos….
Stamkos/ROR
Eichel
Reinhart/ROR
as our top 3 centers.
We would have to sprinkle wingers around and unfortunately, guys like Moulson and Gionta would still be around and filling those roles. But damn.
Once payday came, we would probably have a similar situation on our hands as Pittsburgh did with Crosby/Malkin/Staal but if thats the price for a cup. who cares? |

yeah. "a bit" is an understatement. And while that movie was considered a "story" or fiction. It's pretty much how things went down. if you google that movie title, there's all kinds of documentaries digging in to the mechanics of how that stuff happened and it's sikening. |

I've been meaning to watch it. The trailers looked good, but they're just trailers after all. Him asleep/passed out on the hoverboard was hilarious, and I'm interested to see how they set that up in the actual movie. |
