It didn't get my "knickers in a knot" it was taken by many on here as a "patronizing post" so I addressed it myself. Stash isn't around as he's on vacation, he also has a longer leash but drops the hammer when he has to.

I don't think the opinion of any insider matters - Burnside or Lawton. My guess is that Toronto and Buffalo will have fairly similar offers. It comes down to whether Stamkos wants to play in his hometown or not. Some guys would hate the idea and others would love it.

That year, like this year 7/1 was on a Friday I'm pretty sure. Either way, Nobody likes having big news on a Friday. And then there's no signings on the Monday, 7/4, so it took a while. I could see this panning out the same way.

Whether we like it or not assuming Stamkos signs somewhere else (Better not be Toronto)

I am 10000% confident Murray will go after other big fish... Not saying I want all these guys but I think there's a strong possilbity Murray will take a run at Okposo. My guess is he gets 6 or 6.5 mill per. I don't think he's worth it but he is good. There's also Boedker who will be a quick and skilled top six option but not someone who really is considered elite. Ladd can be an option especially if we get rid of Kane.
Trade options Nash - I get he has a big cap hit and is older but if we don't get Stamkos maybe Murray would be willing to take on that contract. Also the option of Eberle but I believe he will cost too much in a trade.

I think if Murray could get a combination of Ladd or Boedker and maybe a trade of Nash we could still be a very good team
