Why does it have to be a "superstar" fish. Pretty much anyone that is on a line w/ O'Reilly is going to produce. We need a left winger that can keep up w/ Jack (Reinhart on the right), and a couple of compliments.

D help is hopefully coming in 1-2 years. The problem last year was putting the biscuit in the basket. We need a scoring winger more.

Maybe one side would have to throw in something to even it out.

But I will admit... I don't... HATE the idea.

He goes out west.. they get a top LW to go with Tarosenko.

Honestly this team could make the playoffs this year without making any changes from the roster from this past season. The 2nd year (hopeful) jumps of Reinhart, Eichel and the continuity of these players playing together and a healthy Lehner puts us in the conversation. Now we added Kulikov, Nylander (who knows maybe he makes the roster although it's highly unlikely), and possibly Vesey and those are great pieces to add to an already improving young hockey club. You're right when you say Stamkos is not the end of all means, but if he does go to Toronto then we are behind them IMO and that's what scares me and frustrates me as a Sabre fan, especially living in Canada.

I like your thinking. Anyone that signs him is going to overpay. I don't think that he makes that much of a difference, if he lands in Toronto. True he's going to get his points, but they were still one of the worst teams in the league last year, and their D isn't very good. We shouldn't under sell what we have. Not a cup contender yet, but not bad at all.

That would be a SCARY fast line to play against. Eichel and Vesey are pretty good two way players. Lots of youth there.

Ennis doesn't play a great 2 way game but his speed creates issues for opposing teams that is somewhat similar.
