If you think hall is better then Benn you should get your head checked. |

Do you have the hero chart?
OV
Kane
Tarasenko
Benn
Gaudreau
Perry
All arguably better than Hall. Oil still lost the trade by selling for .65
However you got to pay to play. |

The worst trade I've ever heard of. I guess I nailed it though. - James_Tanner
Worse than Yzerman not dealing Drouin for peanuts? |
|
|

Doughty is pretty overrated, there are lots of better defenseman. I wouldn't trade Hall for Doughty. Hall will help you win more games. Nice appeal to the masses though, great argument strategy. - James_Tanner

Yeah I still wouldn't do it. Playing with losers on a garbage team Taylor Hall is like fifth or sixth in p/60 over the last few years. The guy is hands down one of the best in the game and he is getting better.
One of the worst trades ever. |

Oh, really?
Minimum 36 GP
Year League Rank in P/60
2010 - 2011 125th
2011- 2012 19th
2012 - 2013 3rd
2013- 2014 7th
2014 - 2015 83rd
2015 - 2016 44th
How does he rank "over the last few years" ?
From 2012-2013 (his best year) through 2015-2016 - He's 18th
From 2013-2016 through 2015-2016 - He's 24th
He has finished in the top five in P60 a grand total of one (1) time.
And how does going for 3rd, to 7th to 83rd to 44th mean getting better?

I rank hall as one of the 5 best left wingers in hockey. This is a huge fail of a trade for the oilers. |

I don't think Taylor Hall is in the same league as Ovechkin. To be completely fair, he is a great player, but a little overrated. If i were Oilers I would accept any trade for a number 1 defense, any number 1. You have plenty of talent up front and don't need Hall to be good offensively, you need a number 1 defense desperately and teams know it.
Note: asking for Karlsson in a trade would be laughable, afterall we are talking of players with different pedigrees. Sens would not even trade Ceci for Hall, so that's that. - PtotheY
I would say that Cody Ceci is the most overrated player in the league, but it's only by one fanbase.
He's nothing special at all. He's a depth Dman. He had some of the worst possession numbers in the league, if that's your thing. he's 22 years old and his career high is 26 points. |

Barzal isn't exactly an A-list prospect, but he's pretty good. The Oilers just keep getting taken to the cleaners, trade after trade. |
