Really, it's about who will start to decline first for me, an injury-prone(I hate using that, because I usually believe injuries are independent acts, not compounding, but sometimes that's the case) LW in Hall, or sturdy, but MANY miles already on himself in Doughty. Bourque, who had 4 90 point seasons. But advanced stats weren't around to colour my opinion back then so I don't know who is actually better.

Plus, if Bourque scored 90 points on Boston, would he maybe not have outscored Coffey if he played with Gretzky etc.

End of the day, if in fact chiarelli is actually considering dealing hall, it's because of the hardball gms are playing with what they see as a desperate guy.
Nuge/ebs etc have solid value, there's no arguing that.

But the other guy knows who's more desperate and they're probably offering clear losses for those two.

Bourque's the best d-man I've ever watched/seen.

As for Coffey, he was a treat to watch, especially in Edmonton. I kind've imagine Crosby as what Coffey would've been like if he had played forward.
