I am starting to really question murrays soberness. All the red flags on evander kane. The contracts of moulson, gionta and gorges. You were not getting stamkos and you just let taylor hall get traded for adam larssons - Buffalo39
I think one needs to focus on how stupid Edmonton is, why not Hamonic? The guys wanted out, pretty sure the Isles would have made that trade.
It appears they didn't make many phone calls when finally dealing Hall. |

Bogosian and a scrub is better then larssons, someone wake tim murray up - Buffalo39
Larsson is pretty good. Not a bum but nowhere near Hall. They got toasted.
Did the Canadian GMs think they had to pay more because of the exchange rate? |

Now which trade is worse?
I still say Hall for Larsson is worse - Stripes77
Not even close. Hall for Larsson is way, way worse. Montreal is getting at least someone who's somewhat comparable to Subban. But Hall is a top LW in the league. Larsson might not even be the best defenseman on his team. |

Will someone please walk to bottoms up and drag tim murray out of there. Is he still partying with kane. How do you not get taylor hall. Adam larsson, really - Buffalo39
I wouldn't be shocked if Chiarelli was fixated on Larsson for some odd reason. |

-Evander Kane was a minor gamble. Getting potential high reward for a guy who wouldn't ruin "The Tank"
-Moulson was a P.R. move to prove that Buffalo can be a F.A. destination. Who knew that he would enjoy the cuisine so much???
-Gionta, and Gorges were to appease the fan base, and again not threaten,"The Tank".
-The whole Hall thing is a head scratcher. My only thought is that EDM wanted too much. |

I don't even know how to feel right now by all of this.
I am sure Murray called about Hall, they probably said Risto or nothing.
I am okay with Stamkos staying in Tampa and not going to Toronto |

If Weber retires in the final year Nashville is hit with a penalty of as much as 24.6 million.
https://onepuckshort.word...uld-cost-nashville-a-lot/
This is a bad bad trade for the cash strapped Preds IMO. - dadeadhead
That's a lot to read...if Weber retires at 37 like the article says would there cap recapture hit be any different if he retired as a Pred than as a Hab? |

no he didn't. Florida has a lower state income tax and with 8 years it is the same as getting 12m in Buffalo. His net income would be the same. - sabresfan69
And I believe you are also incorrect as the players pay a state tax for each individual game they play in another state, so while yes 42 home games in Tampa is better tax wise than 42 home games in Buffalo, the difference is not nearly as large as you are indicating. |

I guess Carey Price is healthy but I do wonder if his body will break down at the 40-save mark, you know, right before second intermission.
This is funny |

Why was this trade even made ? - SABRES 89
I will tell you why this trade was made. I have said this a million times. General managers in pro sports are not smart people. They have no background to be gms. Alot are ex players, what background do they have? The smart ones, dominate there sports. Sports is all the buddy system. Darcy regier dient even finish 10th grade.nahere was he going after his 6 game nhl career endd. Saskatoon to shovel snow? He bcomes a scout and befiends people in islandrs organization. Tim murrays uncle is. In hockey, tim follows in his footsteps. |

Melt down if you need to but
How does any of this have an impact on Tim Murray?
Either there are inside deals with promises of futures, or what I believe, there is Dark Money going back to teams that NEED cash.
Always follow the Money |
