Did you see what Girgensons did last year? Or does that not matter to you but it matters what Nash did... |

why would two years ago matter when the guy is 32 not 25. - sabresfan69
Because he's 32 not 55 years old. Corey Perry isn't just going to keel over and die because he's over 30 now. |

I agree. He should of brought in hall, sign vesey. What a great young top 6. Murray is a mess - Buffalo39
You make it sound like Chiarelli called Murray, offered him Hall, and Murray said nah, not interested. There are a bunch of teams that probably would've offered way more for Hall. For whatever reason Chiarelli made this trade. |

Homer, the same reason murray does anything. Regier to murray,we definetly didnt and dont now ,have the smartest man in the room. From many ex players, regier built his team in his image,PASSIVE. Murray i dont know what he is doing - Buffalo39

Right my guess is the conversation started and ended when Risto was named |

Not 5 years ago 2 years ago. Like the same 2 years since Girgensons was a good player - sbroads24
Ok Girgensons is 22 and has much more potential. Nash is 32 and is declining.
Nash makes 7.9 million and your gifting NYR getting out of that contract.
You do know how getting older works? |

Trade for all the players I liked when I was in Ottawa, and see what happens |

I do know, next year I'll be 30, so I'm guessing I'll be losing all mobility in my left leg and will need diapers |

If the Sabres even sniff at Rick Nash.. They better be paying most of that salary. |

Where does Nash have the potential to meet stamkos contract by 3/4 of a million less per year.

That was before his back was jacked up. Backs don't get better, they only get worse. |

He basically wants to find every star from the world junior tournaments through the years. Reinhart, Risto, Jack, Mccabe, Nylander, Kane, Oreilly, Bogosian, Lehner, Vesey are all good examples. He's all about pedigree, he wants guys that were drafted in the top 5 and will be in the NHL for a long time. |

My insider just sent me a text. He says forget the Nash talk, he's never waiving to come to buf. Boedker is the target and Vesey signs with BUF this weekend |

Actually Nash average a little more that 3/4th of goals per game as Stamkos
Stamkos averages .54 goals per game
Nash average .42 goals per game
75% of .54 is .41 goals per game
Now that I re read your post my post is irrelevant...I feel shame
BUUUT in 2014-2015 Nash only had 3 less points than Stamkos and 1 less goal.
I am not expecting him to score 40 but I would take 30 for a guys whose contract isn't going to take him to 38 years old like it would if the Sabres signed Loui |

IDK if you really have an insider or not, but I've been told by two separate sources that Vesey is waiting till August 15th and that wasn't just talk from his agent. Hope they are wrong. |

you know what im saying though…he's expensive and i have no crystal ball, so I have no idea if he will ever reach 40 goals again and if i had to bet money (A lot of money) i would guess he won't. - seedy
Yeah I do.
But I also expect him to bounce back and be near 30.
I would rather pay him for 2 years to score 30 than pay Loui Ericcson for 7 years to score 30 for 2 years and then fall apart |
