I'd make a call to see if Drouin is available. I know he had a big playoff, but TB's cap situation is going to get messy. I'd offer a 1st + a player. What that player is I have no guess what TB would want in return. Prospect or current player?

What does it take to trade TB for rights to Kucherov or one of their other RFAs? Someone isn't getting signed so they might as well get a return for it. Is next year's first too much for Kucherov?

Every and all options to improve this team should be explored.

If that is to reshape the bottom 6 to make them a playoff quality bottom 6, then so be it.

I don't want them to spend money just to grab headlines. Also no need to help teams like the Rags out bu taking Nash off their hands. Let teams like that sweat it out and get them on the cheap in August.

I didn't say anything about over paying for a free agent. I would rather make a trade with one of the teams in cap hell. For example the Chicago Carolina trade.

I would love it, but I think he's even more valuable to TB because he's so cheap right now.

To me, he's had time to see the city, he knows the team, he'll get the top salary he can with us, so there's no reason not to sign unless he wants to go somewhere else...
