Fixed.
There will be rumours for a few days it's part of a sign and trade although they should die down in a couple of days |

8,5 mil wow. Then that says Kane and Toews maybe got more than than they are worth. If the prize of a SUPER star is not over 10 mil in NEW deals this means that the Hawk's big cap pressure won't ease in a long time.
Don't get me wrong I love Kane and Toews, but I will except years like Kane had every healthy year from now and in my opinion Toews did not do good enough last year. |

It has to be that way. Maybe they can slip Johnson in there if he has another bad year statistically in the regular season. |

I like that. Bishop and Carle for Yakupov and prospect. Yes I know Bishop is worth more than Yakupov but we don't have cap space to bring back a Eberle or Talbot. Basically throw Edmonton a bone with Bishop so they take Carle with. Maybe Yakupov can play wing with Stammer and Drouin.

Damnit.
Can't help but feel Stamkos left a ridiculous amount of money on the table and a chance to become a Leafs legend.... but, good on him for being a loyal soldier who is more interested in loyalty and a Cup than unknowns with a team that looks like there's potential, but are still full of major question marks.
Sigh.
But hey, how about this John Tavares kid, what do you guys think? |

I think Stammer left money on the table to give Tampa wiggle room to keep the core together. And maybe to even add something. |

Always wanted Stammer to stay. Wouldn't look right in any other uniform. |

I would think the money he "left on the table" is a lot less than you think. After taxes I'm sure he is nearly identical to going to Toronto. He also gets to golf during the season and not worry about the media bothering him. He, from the outside, seems like a good guy and just wants to play hockey, not have to deal with the media like Kessel had to. Money was always going to be the least of concern for Stamkos. |

If anyone can do it, it's Stevie Y. Full credit to this guy. He's created a great team in Tampa, and then signs Stamkos to a really good cap hit at 8.5. |

I also said to, the amount of free time he would have been asked to give up in Toronto for Charities/events/hospital visits and so on and so on would have been ten fold in Toronto |

This is still something all teams after this will make as an argument.
Star player: Kane and toews gets 10.5
Gm: Stamkos makes 8.5
This will make the hawks pay over average for a lot longer than I excepted. |

You have to remember, Stamkos saves the $400k (appox) in taxes by staying in Tampa plus the cost of living is way cheaper in Tampa. After everything, he may net a little less in Tampa compared to Kane and Toews but I would not think very much. |
