This is the exact reason he put his tail between his legs and stayed in Tampa.
Leafs want good men and not just good players, This man does not deserve to wear to wear the Maple leaf on his chest..

Before cutting Carle there was over $9m of cap space, expected a good chunk of that to go to Kucherov |

I agree. At the end of the day, we as fans get attached to "our" teams but to the players it's a job. Stamkos, like everyone who works, wants the best pay but also the best work life balance. In Toronto he will always be under the microscope, always have people taking pictures, asking questions when he is out to eat or walking around the city. In Tampa he goes out to dinner, he can golf during the season, he can just live his life and still compete for a championship. I think fans expect the players to love their teams as much as the fans do but they don't...it's a job. For anyone to call Stamkos a coward is nuts, go quit your job and go to a far more stressful job for the same pay. If you don't you're a coward. I am waiting for the Lightning to now announce Kucherov has been signed and the season can begin! - Kucherovski
and Hedman. While SY is at it, finish off the rest of the RFAs too. |

Kuch needs to be done. We also have Callys 5.8 til probably early December and we are allowed over the cap anyway over the summer but Kuch will probably get an offer sheet |

Tampa sports radio said Toronto offered 12.5 but we're such tools in the meeting that when he left he called his agent to re sign with the Bolts. If that's even close to true it's hilarious |

The good thing is I don't think Kucherov does get an offer sheet. With Forsberg getting $36 for 6 that is near what Kuch would get so that would be a 1st around and 3rd rounder for someone if they did make him an offer. I could be wrong but I think Yzerman moves Bishop and/or Filpula to clear up even more space. |

I agree with the numbers but nothing but the RFA's have to be done by tomorrow. We have about 13mil - 6 for Kuch, 3.75 for Killorn and 2.5 for Vlady. Blunden and Marsh can get two way contracts. Filp has outlived hid time here and we could retain 1-1.5 after tomorrow |

No they don't have to be done by tomorrow. In order to be a Restricted Free Agent they had to be tendered an offer by the Lightning, which they were. Now they are restricted so anyone can make them an offer starting tomorrow but Tampa can match or they get draft compensation. |

Vladdy will not get that much, probably bridge deal ranging from 1.4-1.75m. Kuch will want more then 6m for a 6 year deal as he would be losing 2 UFA years unlike Forsberg who only lost 1 UFA year on his deal. So I could see 6m for 5 years or say 6.5m for 6 years something like that for Kuch. Not sure what Killorn is going to get but I could see 3.75 being a legit number. They are ok with where they are right now, I doubt anyone offer sheets these 3, I would be surprised if any offer sheet occurred around the league the GMs know its not feasible in todays cap world. |
