Just worked it out. It was about 1200 miles.
Side note: Every restaurant in Kinistino, Saskatchewan is a Chinese food place.
We even searched out a place called Debbie's Diner that had a picture of a sandwich and cup of coffee on the banner. Walked inside: Chinese buffet. - BINGO!
I'm packing up now |

When Puddy was sick before he died he pissed outside the litter box by the back door behind the garbage can and we didn't notice right away and it managed to seep into the subfloor.
Long story short I had to rip apart my entire back porch area today to get rid of the rot and underlying stench. It was not enjoyable.

couldn't really smell anything at first, his piss placement was pretty remarkable because it didn't appear on the laminate.
When I removed the garbage unit to clean behind it I noticed some of the laminate was warped. I had some left over stuff so I decided to replace it. When I took the baseboards and floor up the stench hit me like a ton of bricks. All along the bottom of the door was rotten and black with piss mold.
I decided to go whole hog because there really wasn't another option. It was putrid. So I peeled more floor up and cut the 3/4" sub floor out with my Milwaukee skill saw and with my sawzall around the edges. Some areas were super tricky because underneath was only the drywall ceiling for my basement so I had to reach pretty far without dinging up my walls.
Went to HO-Depot and picked up some new 3/4". Cut, glued and screwed her down. Laid down some new underlay and I'll put the laminate back in on the morrow. |

What a (frank) around this floor turned into.
Ran out of laminate about 3/4 of the way through the area I was doing. Went online to order more and the manufacturer discontinued it.
._.
tore it all up and went on a fishing expedition for some decent Self stick vinyl tile. Got most of it in today but now the baseboards have a pretty decent gap at the bottom. About 1/2" so I have to put that 1/2" round mold at the bottom and it doesn't match the rest of the house now. |
