What a (frank) around this floor turned into.

Ran out of laminate about 3/4 of the way through the area I was doing. Went online to order more and the manufacturer discontinued it.

tore it all up and went on a fishing expedition for some decent Self stick vinyl tile. Got most of it in today but now the baseboards have a pretty decent gap at the bottom. About 1/2" so I have to put that 1/2" round mold at the bottom and it doesn't match the rest of the house now.

i have a question. the answer to which can make this all okay. does the rest of the house have tile, wood or carpeted?

The main floor and basement is just Laminate. Upstairs is carpeted.

its an easy fix. its standard around here in non-carpeted rooms.

that's correct. This house was built in 2014 but the builders made a mummers farce of it in some areas. I'm nervous to tear into anything because I'm worried at what might lay beneath.

Quick example. I hired a guy to drill the holes for my fence posts a few years back and he hacked up my feed to the garage because for some reason the cable swept way into my neighbours yard. When I went to repair it I opened the LB entering the garage and there was only about an inch of service loop and the wires were all scarred and beaten.

I'm selling this house within the next two years for sure.
