Lucic liked the rink and mall... He will sign for 1.8 million - laughs2907
Hey Wait a minute! I thought you were not supposed to be talking numbers. Lucic will command at least 2.1! |

You are correct. I mistakenly thought 75% was the max limit for a reason I can not think of. |

As a "season ticket holder", it looks like you've made a couple of mistakes. |

I enjoy fantasy games and an ad free environment. Ek's rumors are just a great added bonus. |

Tampa takes a goalie back because they only intend on protecting one in the expansion draft. The Dallas take-back clearly isn't getting protected. It's not that big of a stretch. |

Hartnell has 3G, 4A, 7PTs and is -3 in 12 career playoff games against pit. |

except no one will take a Dallas goalie in the Expansion draft and the Lightning will be stuck with a horrible goalie and might not be able to sign one of their FA |

True but they can't have a lot of trade value on the goalie coming back. Would have to have significant other pieces and possibly retained salary on the goalie. |

The Isles NEED to re-sign Nielsen; plain and simple. I understand letting KO and MM walk, but then why sign Ladd? The only reason would be to calm the fan base down. You get a guy who has similar, maybe even less production point wise in Ladd. Yea, he is a leader, I get that. I just think if you're going to sign Ladd, you might as well just stick with KO. Hurt missing out on Hall, but not surprised. No way they were giving up Hamonic after he rescinded his trade request. But seeing that Larsson got it done, hard to imagine they couldn't have enticed Peter with someone else. Peter must really be sold on Larsson . . . |

PK Subban will thrive in Laviolette's system. Shea will thrive and dominate in Montreal and in that division - Eklund
The only things that thrive under Therrien are shots/scoring chances against, and David Desharnais' ice time. |

Why ?
One no real cap improvement- most 1.5 for Niemi and 0 for Lehtonen
Two trade down in quality
Three no guarantee that either of the goalies will be selected in expansion draft vs Bishop or Vasy and they have more than one year left
Four our backup will make 4x our starter.
So how's the logic look now?

Dallas goalie situation is a dumpster fire. No one wants Kari or Niemi. Buying out one or giving away assets to have someone else buy them out is only option. |

Kudos to Ek on the genuine rumour of Bishop to DAL, not! Thanks to Elliotte Friedman for that. What is Ek going to do now that Freidman is going on holidays? |

Except Lucic is an exception because Lombardi gave Lucic permission to talk numbers with other teams. So we were able to determine 1.8 plus a galaxyland/world water park pass would get it done. |

Another EK fact that will not come true Webber is on the down side and what has he ever won? Going down and will continue Like it or not it is true - holeinone
Weber has won 2 gold medals with Team Canada. 2016 Mark Messier Leadership Award. Back to back hardest shot. And every year he is in the conversation for the Norris. And as a side note he is as involved in his community as Subban he just doesn't make a big scene about it.
Weber goes under the radar because he plays in a small market. I've been able to watch him play hundreds of games over the years, he isn't declining. Not all defense men need to play like Burns, Subban, Karlsson, to be considered a productive/elite dman. |

a 10 70% of the time and a 7 30% of the time still comes out to a 9.1 weighted avg. I'll take 9.1 over the course of a whole season, thanks |

Mark Streit is still a good offensive defenceman. He is under rated defensively. Most people think he is horrible but he is pretty decent defensively. I think he still has gas in his tank but the deal definately needs to be much better if Shattenkirk is involved.
To give up a 27 year old defenseman for a 38 year old Dman would be extremely lopsided. If a deal were to take place there would have to be a center piece in there to go along with Streit. Possibly Schenn? Maybe even a prospect.
I dont see a deal here personally. Yes he is an upgrade but the cost would hurt the team more than the upgrade is worth, especially with the prospects in that position that should be ready within next year or two. Flyers are starved offensively, to deal away what little offense they have is counter productive unless you have 2-3 new forwards coming in from FA |

*"The Flyers are up to something big." That is the text I got from an important source. Shattenkirk? I would be surprised. Blues would have to take Mark Streit back.

An 8.9 out of 10? Subban is the best D in the NHL 70% of the time? What kinda GM was this? This is clearly made up. - woopstash
The GM was Gary Masker, Ek's next door neighbor. |
