Im more interested in actual things than arguing over what did/didnt or could have happened. I also see us adding, potentially on D, but i think it will come through a trade rather than signing a FA

The trade that was done. And Chiarelli himself. He wanted a young, good top 4 defenseman. And we only have one of those. Ipso facto they wanted Risto.

Edit: Obviously Chiarelli can't come out and say "I wanted Ristolainen" that's tampering, just ask Jim Benning. And vice versa for Murray. It's a logical leap given all the facts and comments made by Chiarelli himself.
