Vessey does not become a UFA this Friday. Murray has until August 15 to get Vessey signed. However, it is not like there is much to negotiate. This isn't Stamkos, Vessey is going to get the same contract offer from every team. So I don't see what else Murray can do between then and now, that he hasn't already.

You are not going to get Fowler for Kane. I can't see anyone wanting to touch him at the moment, never mind giving up a young top 4 Dman. His 30 goal season is 5 seasons ago. Maybe in the lockout season he may have got 30, so lets say 4 seasons removed. Except for the shorten season, he has also never been able to play a full season because of injuries. He finds his way into coaches dog house. I actually think is hockey IQ has gotten worse since he joined the league. The guy just shoots, never looks for teammates, or try to develop anything. If you are trading him, you are either getting someone else's problem, or dumping him for B level prospects with a possible 2nd rounder. I can't see him returning a top prospect or anyone willing to dump a top 4 defender for him.

Once again, his name isn't Jackson, which I can only assume because Garth calls Reinhart Samson (his actual name). But don't let facts get in the way. In fact, tell me again how Stamkos is going to Toronto, because I remember you said it was a done deal.

Kane may feel that he has more to lose messing up in California than in Buffalo, so may toe the line better. They might reason that way and make the trade. Bottomline, we might very well see Kane for Fowler if Buffalo is trying to move him.

At the moment I agree. Which is why I think it'd be a mistake to dump him. Don't get pennies on the dollar return on your investment. I would rather see if he can play his way into a decent trade target at the deadline, or leave him exposed and see if LV will take him in the expansion draft if a trade doesn't go down.

Why do you refer to Theodore as towering? The dude is like 6'2.. I'm 6'1 and have never even been referred as tall.. Also Fowler for Kane is ludicrous!

Dont the Sabres have Vesey exclusively till August?? Also, Sabres got their LHD and have 6 NHL defenseman, so they would have to send one back with Kane. A fowler deal wont work, theyll end up getting something else, probably from somewhere else, if at all.
