Cap space not used is wasted space. Saving it to take advantage of other teams in cap problems only works when you have assets that teams want. We have none and we have holes to fill. If we don't fill it in FA, it won't get filled via trade.

we knew it wouldn't be 4 years. 6 is too much. So I guess we woulda been happy with 5 lol. Pretty much means the Sedins will likely sign 1 year contract extensions at the end of their current contracts.
