Others used Sven & Connolly as a comparison.
I don't see it as even close or would even go there.

Ummm 6m is a bargain for hall
- Redmile247

Yup, Hall is #5 LW in the league and OV was #4 and he's getting 9.5

He is a year younger than Sven and just had a very similar season ...you think Sven is a plug ?
- Redmile247

Sven was in his first full season and scored 15 goals in 69 games while Connolly scored 9 in 71. Connolly has played 3 seasons. If Baertschi scores 9 goals this year then yes, I'd call him a plug.

That being said, I can't comment on whether I'd want the Canucks to pursue him as I didn't watch any Bruins games this year.

Benning inquired into resigning Cracknell.

SO? Probably for Utica, he would be a nice depth signing for the farm.

From what I know of him he is a great room guy and has made the most of his career. Most guys his age and skill set don't do so well and are not held in such high esteem. Very well respected player.

Have the Flames sign him.
I don't want him taking up a roster spot.
Rather give Etem 1 last chance.
Vey had his turn & turfed.
Thats life for RFA/UFA's players trying to fit in.

wtf kinda stupid comparison is this, one wins the Maurice Richard every year and the other struggles to play 82 games.

I think I would take Connelly over Etem. Personal bias though as I watched him on the Cougars. I know his work ethic. Etem needs to get consistent.

Sven played on a lotto team which was going in a younger direction and was given every opportunity to succeed in Van

Connolly played on a very good Tampa team which was trying to win and then a Boston team which was pushing for the playoffs

If you swap them do you think Sven breaks out in Tampa or Boston ?

I'm not saying Connolly is better and I think Sven is more skilled but they are more similar than you think

Either way I was just making a point that the poster can't call one a plug when he isn't far behind Sven who is loved here

He has bounced around for a reason though....
U make it or u don't.
He is in the same boat as many others.
Stars get term & $'s & draft/prospect a shot to impress.
Teams move around assets all the time finding fits.

I do agree ...they have enough projects that now it's time to pay a top 6 UFA or give homegrown prospects a shot

Sven is alot more skilled and still has a higher ceiling, Connolly can be a solid two-way/power forward .
