Do you not think Vanek would turn out just like Vrbata?
Schultz, Colborne or Helm I would take a chance on tho... - LordHumungous
They are just as big a chance. Vanek and has the ability to be elite. I don't know where it all went. Semin comes to mind. I really liked his skill level at his best. |

We are that bottom dwelling team . We finished 28 th last year. If he has a good year he could fetch a high pick - VANTEL
@1m/1 maybe or an anchor more likely.
Much depends on who JB targets most eg Eriksson &/or?
He proved in Montreal to be a PO flop. |

Vanek is twice as talented as Vrbata. Of all the plugs the Sedins have turned into productive scorers, Vanek has the most compatible skillset for their style of play by far. He could return to a 40 goal guy on that line. Buy low & give the Sedins a legit finisher to maximize their value as they close out their careers. |

Sign Brouwer 4m 3 yrs, Boedker 5x5 and Vanek 2m 1 yr. Vanek will be traded at deadline, boedker gets limited ntc, 5 team list required, brouwer the same but 10 team list. |

Where did it all go? I don't know what is up with him. So much talent. You're probably right put him on the Sedin line and bam 40 goals. |

I think you are being a tad over optimistic. It's not like he's been playing with scrubs the past few years, and being used in a role he's not comfortable in. I do hope he at least has a few good years with the right situation (i.e. can't get much better than with the Sedins). It would definitely be worth taking a shot at him if the price (and of course term ) was nominal. It would certainly be much more preferable than going the Lucic route. |

Not that I really care but I wonder what he found so enticing in Edmonton other than money. It has to be the only thing. That place sucks. - thundachunk

P.G. is not really that bad is it? I have lived in both Edmonton and Calgary and quite enjoyed them both. You just have to make sure you take a vacation to break up the long winters. Both really good party towns. |

No its not that bad unless your involved heavily in the wrong things. Vacations are a must in February. Lots of things to do here fishing, hunting, ski hills, hiking, off-roading, ect. The summers are usually really good here. The 2 worst places I lived in Canada are Edmonton and Sparwood. I loved Calgary and if work called for it I would go back. |

Yeah lots of weirdos there. I had a girl invite me to this party who instantly ditched me only to have a bunch of small town douche bags try to scare me of and start trouble it was like Footloose. Small towns are f@cked. |

What will be interesting is if Lucic signs with the Oileres tomorrow 7 yrs 6 mil per 42 mil. It was reported that Looch's and Oilers have a deal in place. During this period clubs cn talk to players and show interest but they can not talk salary or contract . That is tampering |

If I was Benning I would just ignore it. GMs that trade Hall for Larsen you don't want to piss off . You want them on your speed dial and number one on your rolodex |
