2 years ago I was at the Youngstars tourney and Draisaitl was the only player I thought was NHL ready. He is IMHO a more offensively gifted Kopitar and has much more propensity to play physical. - PuckShack
I have had a hard on for Draisaitl since he was 16 playing for Raiders he was always the best one on the ice whenever I watched him play. |

This won't be popular with some people here, but I would not mind seeing a top 9 of
Sedin-Sedin-Hansen
Kane-RNH-Sutter
Bae-Bo-Etem/JV
Kane's value is at an all time low, I think Vancouver is the only team that could turn him around. Insulated by family, as well as his known respect for Linden/Willie. If he got his act together and matured here, he could be good again. RNH value dropped as well, and we could get him for a reasonable price. In one of these trades Sbisa or Burrows would need to go back. Sbisa for Kane? - Retinalz
Not bad but that lineup gets it's ass kicked around the rink by LA, Anaheim and SJ, Sutter is out of position and Hansen may have been a one off. |

Sutter played well on the Sedins wing. So we know he can play it. Kane plays a heavier game. Also if we dump Sbisa we would have cap space for a UFA still. Brouwer could look good on 2nd line and sutter with sedins again. Hansen in the trade for RNH. |

I think you overrate RNH. He has NO capacity to be a 2nd line center in the West. All the 2nd line centers are heavy and good on the draw. Playmaking is overrated if you don't have the puck and your name is not Sedin.
That is why Benning got Sutter. |

It looks like Jared Cowen cant be bought out. So the Leafs miss out on Stamkos and now have to keep Cowen. It's been a rough week for Canadian Hockey teams |

If Benning can make a few astute signings to improve depth in the event of injuries, the Canucks have a better chance of making the playoffs. We don't have the farm system to call up effective bandaids. I would have liked to re-sign Hamhuis for that very reason.
If the Canucks sign value guys instead of swinging for the fences, they are in a much better position at the trade deadline to look for help in the unlikely event they are in a playoff spot. All this without handcuffing themselves.
- PuckShack
I like this thinking as if the value signings work out we could always trade them at the tdl or keep them if we like them that much, depends on the player. |

My prediction for the season is Sbisa breaks out.
10 goals 20 assists and a +16. - thundachunk
I would even take from Sbisa those stats minus the last digit 1 goal, 2 assists, and a +1 That would be an improvement. |

Even if we could get him his salary is like $6m, would Buf take back $3m of it? |

See just shows you how much I don't care about his stats I thought he did well by sticking up for his teammates and not running around as much as he did before. |
