Today has been a good day for the Pens. If they can bring back Cullen it will be a great day. Love all the Dman pickups. Never have enough. I think Schultz is gone and I am ok with it. - Mino42
No chance in hell Schultz is back. Would have liked to see him back but we addressed defensive depth in a savvier way given our cap space.plus this way we're not burying DP. But if he can't win a spot over Warsofsky there's a problem |

#TBLightning have $45.12M locked in for 2017-18 w/ 6F/4D/0G, in a year where Johnson, Palat, Drouin, Sustr, Vasilevsky + 10 others are RFA.
Yikes... free up some cap space in 17-18 JR |

Mackey said don't be surprised if Bengtsson pushes for a spot with the big club. - madmike71
I read on Pensburgh and some where else the other day that Bengtsson has an out clause ala Plotnikov. Meaning if he doesn't make big club can go back to Europe instead of WBS. Here' the link : http://www.pensburgh.com/...ins-2016-development-camp |

I agree 100%. I think its time to Let DP play and see what he can do. Sick of hearing what everyone on here thinks he can do. Let the kid play! |

Yeah if he doesn't start getting him this year I'm done with him. This'll be the second straight season he's been all but given a roster spot. |

Who would you have wanted to sign as a top 6 LW though? I wouldn't have wanted to pay these prices(both in dollars and term) that these guys are signing for. - jaydogg1974
I didn't want to sign a UFA. I wanted to trade for a young change of scenery guy with upside. |

Yzerman is doing a great job getting guys to sign undermarket. Stamkos/Hedman are both $4 million under what they would get UFA maybe $6 million.
If aging power forwards are worth 7 years 42 then franchise centers/franchise 1d would be getting paid insane in this market. |

You sign Hedman and stamkos then fill in. You're going to lose some good players but that's the way it goes |

If he plays the same way as last year and doesn't improve they need to deal him asap while he still has value and can be waiver exempt. Once his ELC is up its going to get tougher to get value for him. |

Not sure if this is old news or not, rutherford inked 3 year ext:

I'm fine with it. It'd suck to lose Botteril to another org but The Old Man was phenomenal last year. Wouldn't be surprised to see him retire two years into the contract anyways. |

His ELC expires after this season. He'll have a pretty cheap bridge though unless he has a monumental jump this year. |

Not suggesting the contracts are bad. Just impossible to have a 8 player "core" group. Of Drouin, Palat, TJ - 2 could be good as gone. |
