I think the "one more strike". Is the best answer I've ever got on is page. In some ways I feel bad for the kid but if you had up his Winnipeg and Buffalo strikes it's closer to 20 strikes then 10.......he was essentially fired by his teammates here and Buffalo's player leadership will eventually have to vote him off Sabre island. - jjonah
I think he's pretty tight with some of our younger guys (eichel, reinhart) |

If he doesn't sign it will be a big loss. He fits perfectly with Jack and Reinhart. - mhp
Exactly, could you imagine that line????? I just hope that he can see that. It bothers me that he hasn't signed yet, unless he is set on Boston, or Toronto. |

It might come down to moving Kane at the deadline or exposing him to the expansion draft. If either scenario happens we lose on that trade. Not the end of the world but it happens. - mhp
Losing that trade is all that some live for on here, lol.

Is it possible for Pegula to transplant the Vesey clan to the Buffalo area to make him more "comfortable"? |

Two years ago: Risto true NHLer; Add Reinhart
Last Year: McCabe True NHLer; Add Kane; Add Bogo; Add Jack; Add ROR; Add Lenner
This Year: Add Nylander; Add Okposo; add Kuli; Add Vesey(?); Any new True NHLers?
Fellas.... Anybody else see what's going on here??

Easson says that Hoffman has until Tuesday to file for salary arbitration and that the Sens have a Wednesday option.
Could be an interesting scenario to keep an eye on. |

I get grief for yapping about Kane and what he doesn't bring to the table and yet it's year 2 and they are figuring out how to get him out of town.Wheres the Kane defender ? Would love to hear " it's only 2 run ins with the law and a missed practice for an NBA weekend".......and this is only what has gone public. 2 cent brain and the maturity of a 14 year old trust fund punk.
How am I wrong? - jjonah
Here's my take:
Kane is living an awesome life, and he hasn't really done anything truly WRONG. Also, with his combination of talent and the wealth he has already collected, he can probably maintain his current lifestyle for as long as he wants.
The question only he can answer is whether that's what he wants? If it is, every one of us should understand it - it would be (frank)ing GREAT to live like that. But if he want to achieve more as a professional NHLer, he should realize he's in a fabulous environment in Buffalo to make that happen, and It's possible to do BOTH with the right kind of discretion.
He needs to develop a respectful relationship w one of the older guys on the team, but I don't think he's found it yet. |

We need a backup plan in case Vesey doesn't sign. |

He's living the Playboy lifestyle, which is fine, just not for the Sabres, Las Vegas would be perfect for him, or the death of him. |

I don't think you can live that lifestyle (publicly) and sustain a successful career in the NHL, or just about any pro sport.
I think Gronk will flame out horribly in the next couple years. |

Not sure if he enjoyed his time here or not, but I thought the guy played out his as$, considering the team we were icing in front of him. He's big, so that checks off that box for TM - and GERBE, from what I've read here...
So, yes, of the three or four NHL goaltenders seemingly left (Ramo, Scrivens, Ewok and Lindtank), I'd take the big Swede. |

You can see the type of team that Murray is building. Most of the guys are grounded, character guys, and then there's Kane. The problem is that we are so weak on the left side that they are more apt to put up w/ his B.S.
You absolutely can't have an "issue", a day before the draft is being held in your town, can't happen. |

His stats last year were underwhelming, 3.11 in 19 starts and an .894. I worry that Sugar Ray Lenner will get hurt again during the season and I would prefer Ramo, who has played 159 games in his career and last year at Calgary posted a 2.63 and a .909 on a crappy Flames team. I would sign him for 2 years. |

Arizona's D flat out sucked last year, so I will give him that. If Lehner goes down, we can call up Ullmark. On top of the fact that he would be cheap. |

good points. I would still like a vet back up and Ramo would be my choice but he'll cost more. And Murray might want to go cheap on the back up like he did yesterday before losing the guy. There aren't many more choices left. Ramo, Scrivens, Enroth and Lindback seem to be it. |
