Lucic is so much more than just the offensive totals he puts up . He's got great underlying numbers and is an absolutely bully all over the ice
It doesn't have to be you did awesome and the other guy blew it.
Both can be good signings for different reasons
And eriksson played on the pres trophy winning Bruins too - Ihateallofu

That is, by far, the WORST announcer I have ever heard . It's like retarded Bob Cole on drugs. |

Seems like a good day. We got one of the jewels of free agency at an elevated but not unreasonable rate, we didn't get Lucic and we didn't spend stupid money on any other UFAs. We got out better than we came in. I like it. - micah555

Good to see some people like bad jokes.
In all seriousness, is the plan to try and be competitive while the Sedin's are in Van? LE was a great pick up but I am not sure Van has the High end talent coming up through the ranks to become a contender afterwords. |

Sorry, was busy finding love at the shelter pet project online.
My comment was towards the prior post. Inflating AAV when 3 different people posted the rules is not the definition of a joke.
Your .gif is good though I prefer the outfielder one more.
Eriksson is a good signing. Hopefully the twins are re-signed so they can all decline at the same rate.

I think every team should try to be competitive. The goal every season should be playoffs. Proper use and mix of Veterans and youth. |

Vanek and Ott to Detroit. I like the short term trials, but I'm not sure how much left either player has left. I also didn't watch a lot of Detroit this past season, but Nielson hardly seems like a replacement for Datsyuk. What's the future in Detroit? They seem like a fringe playoff team on the decline. |

I think they are trying to give the younger guys a competitive team to get playoff experience with before the Sedins go. I doubt the Cup is on the menu, but a playoff spot isn't out of the question if there is some growth from the younger players. |

Van is about where Calgary was when they finally traded Iggy. Problem is they can't trade the Sedins because they're a package deal and no team wants them both. |

After losing Datsyuk and Babcock, I don't see how they can turn these trash to treasure deals into results like they once did. But maybe I'm wrong. |

That is the dumbest sh!t I have read all day. 29 other teams would want them both.
Your president said he would fly to Sweden to get them signed. |

Desperation, spending the spare change after Stammer spurned them. I truly thought they were a shoo in for getting him. They are gonna be opening a new barn, but it isn't nearly as attractive to sign there than in Edmonton at this point. And without a Lidstrom, Yzerman, Federov, Osgood type team I wonder if it will ever be a destination team again until they get a premier player. Which could be....a while. They also should remove Hockeytown from center ice when they move, when it is challenging to sell out a playoff game. |

I think we have a better prospect pool than Calgary did when they dealt Iggy. Also, the Sedins are pretty much a successful line on their own (with virtually any other player), so they don't really compare to a single player, even a great player like Iginla. |

I think Babcock is overrated. He seen the decline in Detroit and saw the opportunity to get paid! The only thing that may save him is Matthews. |
