Is Sutter Hansen Burrows the shut down line? - VANTEL
There could be a couple of lines that will shut down the Canucks. |

Yeah. 2a and 2b.
Sutter on a shutdown line against top line.

I think Horvat just needs to be put in different situations then last year if Sutter plays a full season. He didn't fair too well defensively and I'd prefer we allowed him to be a secondary scoring threat as well instead of the defensive 2C. I think he could excel in either direction based on his experiences. |

All of this.
Landeskog would be great, but we don't have the pieces.
Evandr kane we might be able to afford (buy low), but comes with risks.
Sbisa, Dorsett, 2nd rounder (torts).
Would flesh out top6 out nicely.
Sedin/Sedin/loui
Bae/bo/Kane
Hansen/Sutter/etem
Rodin /Granlund/burrows
Jv
Elder/tanev
Guds/Hutton
Larsen/tryamkin - dbot
sedin sedin loui
sven bo JV
etem sutter hanson
burrows granlund dorsett
Rodin
edler tanev
hutton gudb
larsen tree
sbisa
juolevi?
with the addition of loui it makes you wonder what hansons season will be like production wise.
also I wonder by looking at the D propects like stetcher and juolevi etc if by seasons end edler or tanev are expendable (depending on performance of the others of course). This may be more like 2 years away I would think. |

I keep hearing Rodin will be in the lineup. Apparently he has got bigger.

his highlight videos of last season look really really good. will have you salivating that he's joining the team. See what he does in camp. Good insurance for sedin line should loui get injured.
I think also tree's partner should vary by the zone.
Sbisa in our own end (no point having offensive D in defensive zone) do to his hits and larson for offensive zone starts. |

Would have liked to have seen Backes here. Would have added a good FO guy with great and a beast of a player we havent seen since kesler. Let's face it, the canucks downturn was losing kesler. As much of a D*ck as he is he left a big hole on the ice.
there still are FAs unsigned boys, may not be over for our signings.
Couple of D....think Russell is still out there....although its interesting dallas chose Hammer over him in the end. But he's meaner for sure, which we could use seeing as flames and oilers upped this factor on their teams. |

Sbisa just dosent seem to fit anywhere right now because I think Larsen is a better fit with Tryamkin. I will wait until the fall before I start pretending who fits better though. The top line is set and the centers seem set but the wingers can be moved up or down. Itll be a good camp and I hope for the best. Rodin will be a surprise to most I'm sure. |

The only thing I think happens is a trade during the summer. Other than that training camp will be competitive as spots will need to be earned as opposed to basically handed out last year. |

my point was depending on the zone they start in.
I am concerned with having 2 players on the same pairing that are both adjusting to the nhl game. An nhl regular would be better initially.
Pretty sure Larson is a RHD and so is tree.
from a tactical standpoint defensive zone starts sbisa fits better and is a LHD. Makes us tougher to play against in our zone. Offensive zone sbisa wouldnt be the correct fit unless tree finds his offensive game here |

I sure hope not and I don't think so. I think that may have been before signing Larsen if they were. Tree plays both sides and is a LHD naturally I believe. |
