The article says this interview was done before July 1st, but yesterday didn't his agent say they were excited to talk to Buffalo and open to anything? Sounds like rehashed info and doom an gloom to me. Unless I'm confusing the timeline.

That being said, I think the hype about this guy is over the top. Who is the last college kid to make an immediate impact?

I agree the hype is ridiculous.

I even think it is more ridiculous for teams to offer him a spot in their lineup without ever seeing him play with NHL players.

Edit: using your example with Chicago. Panarin has the spot. No way they would tell Vesey he could have it.
