Ramo was the best of a bad triumvirate last year. I wouldnt be surprised if he goes to Europe or the KHL. If he stays, he is out for a while, December I believe. And he probably will be more expensive than Zatkoff. Probably best to stay away. - FLflames34
Why is he out till December? Did he off season surgery? |

Karri Ramo, who has been ruled out for the rest of the 2015-16 campaign, will undergo surgery this week.
Ramo has a torn ACL and meniscus damage. To provide a more specific timetable than the one previously provided, he's expected to miss the next six-to-eight months. That's terrible news for him given that he's scheduled to become an unrestricted free agent this summer. If Calgary doesn't re-sign him and he's forced to test the market, teams might be reluctant to present him with offers until he recovers. That could create a situation where he's not signed until October and by then there likely won't be any starting positions available, barring a significant training camp injury. Feb 17 - 1:58 PM |

Don't get into the 'my city is better than yours'. I hate when a discussion goes that way. Total waste of time. The Oil and Sabres are on the upswing, stick to hockey talk. - mhp
Agreed. It's stupid |

Last year there were 18 UFA signings on day 2 and one trade. Saw a tweet about that earlier. - mhp

Did Gustavsson sign? I thought he did.
Enroth or Lindbach are there but both had bad years
Leighton and Emery even are.
One name I could see though is an experienced guy like Poulin or Labarbera though. Man I'd worry about them if Lehner went down.
Would def rather call up Ullmark if that is the case. - JVince11
Stay away from Labarbera. He is terrible!!! |

We can afford anything you offer but are you really willing to give up 4 top 5 draft picks? - soljor09
There's no way in hell that the offer sheet would be for over 9.5 million per year so we wouldn't be giving up anywhere close to that |

Not your best article, but it wasn't bad. Just thought you could have given more stats or history or even more future outlook. - ASU_Sabres14

Ray Emery watch?
He would go well with Sugar Ray Lehner.
Honestly though, I wouldn't mind Enroth as long as no longer than 2 year deals. |

What about Ortio? - JVince11
I still think Ortio is worth it. He is raw, but still young, and I have yet to see anything to indicate he is going to suck like Leland Irving. His lack of growth can be laid at the feet of Hartley's obsession with Hiller.
As for UFAs I really think Hudler would be a great value signing in Buff. Loved his game in Calgary, he is a great leader for the kids, and likely is gonna be cheap now that most teams blew their wad. Any intetest in say a 3m cap hit for 2 or 3 yrs? |

Maybe we will get some production out of Moulson, although I don't know if Okposo was brought here to revamp Moulsons career |

Everyone is hitting the panic button on finding a back-up.. is the skill gap between Ullmark and some other fringe back up that wide?
I say give Ullmark a shot; he's been improving over time. Kasdorf can fill in for Rochester and we can sign another goalie for Rochester as well. |

It isn't that Ullmark couldn't do it, but it's just he would get much more time in the AHL. I think the reason why people are more obsessed about the backup situation is Lehner's health. If we had a strong #1 that could stay healthy for a full season, bet most people wouldn't really care about who our backup was. |
