I doubt you could. I suspect he has his mind made up already. Which is why I believe like you, that if it was here, he'd have signed already.

I would honestly say Ramo is the best back up still on the market. He even has plenty of starting experience. Not just a true back up.

Obviously he'll get done I'm not worried about him. I'm worried about getting a capable LW to play with Eichel. If we have to overpay for Landelog so be it. I don't care
