We can also expose him to waivers and lose him. One would think Sbisa alone(maybe a very small plus) gets it done. - Retinalz
He would cost way more than Sbizza |

What about Tree? and according to the Sedins, Sbisa is mean hitting SOB. Etem could play a grinding game. - Bakwas
Too early to tell with those two. Sbisa I think will be dealt. |

That would be the selling tool for the team going into the off season. He's trouble, then he's still a young guy. Put him in the right environment and you never know. Like it's been thrown around, start wit Sbisa +. It would help against Lucic & Kassian for sure. - VanHockeyGuy
I think all you need to do with him is say "look over there" and he has been neutralized for about 5 minutes. |

I think with Buffalo cap space we could overpay to shed salary too! Burrows, Sbisa and 2nd rounder from CBJ for Kane! |

I don't think it would be that much more with the baggage Kane comes with.
Sbisa, Hansen OR Dorsett, CLB 2nd Round Pick and then go from there. A prospect could be added but I wouldnt go much more than that. |

Overpayment, Burrows is really only a 2mil cap dump, the other 2.5mil he is 100% worth. Sbisa showed improvement last season. People don't see it because of his injury, but he started well and finished well. I'd say he is becoming a true #5 dman. With Buffalo wanting to be rid of Kane, and rumor of no/few teams willing to take him off their hands, his value is rock bottom. Sbisa would only need a small + to get it done one would think. |

I have been watching how Benning is building this team for next year and he has made us faster and more skilled ( a bit-Larsen and Eriksson). He made us bigger and tougher (Tryamkin-for the full year and Gudbranson) I think that Jake is going to surprise some out of camp and I think he will be with the team and not in Utica. On the outside it looks like Markstrom will play more I think we are a bubble team for a wild card spot. If we are worse we get a decent draft pick for next year. I think more than anything this team will compete harder this year and be harder to play against. As for the Oilers the same problem exists amazing Forwards and no quality D to get the puck to them. I don't see playoffs for them unless they address that, but dmen are not being given away. |

Murray is a pretty shrewd GM. JB will have his hands full. |

A good trade for both sides would be
Sbisa+Hansen for Kane + cond 2nd 2017. condition is that if they make playoffs if becomes a 1st, if they miss we get their 2018 2nd with the 2017 2nd.
This gives Buffalo what they want, and we get something for taking on the risk that is Kane. Lines are:
Dank-Hank-Loui
Kane-Sutter-Etem/Baer
Baer/Etem-BoHo-Virt
Burrows-Granlund-Dorsett
Between where Baer/Etem play will depend on chemistry for best lines possible. |

Benning made an offer for Kane when Winnipeg unloaded him to Buffalo. It's defintely an interesting scenario and I think the value could be seen for Buffalo as they have some solid talent. Sbisa and Hansen could compliment existing pieces well.
Like I said before, this is how Benning plans to speed up a rebuilding process. High risk, high reward but Kane would defintely have time and room to grow. |

The headline of the day is Landeskog for Trouba wouldn't Sabres be wise to do Landeskog for Ristolainen so they have Landeskog to replace Kane when they ship him to us for Sbisa++ who replaces Ristolainen just throwing it out there! Haha

Honest question why would we trade Hansen for Kane.
20 goals good leader hard worker great.character for
Douchebag 20 goals at more than double the price.
Forget the names look at production. If Erickson plays most of the season with sutter or horvat and still scores then Hansen can play with the twins and we have 2 decent scoring lines. The hard on for kane blows my mind. |

We got eriksson to play with the sedins. end of story.
EDIT: Also this gets us Picks for Hansen while not losing any goals, it ultimately makes us better now and in the future. Hansen is not easy to replace, but we don't need to replace what he brings so much as bring a different style into the line-up. Kane does this. |

With Kane as well, I think his issue boil down to the way he was treated as a Youth. ATL/WPG tried to remove his freedoms and he acted out. His personality also clashed negatively with Buffoon. Then in BUF he went to a young team and was kind of needed to be that older person, but wasn't ready for it, and the acting out continued. In Van he has the Sedins for vet presence to help him through things(Burrows as well this season, as well as Dorsett) and his family around him and then Linden(the guy he grew up watching/idolizing). |

It's called potential, I think we have seen the high end of the spectrum for Hansen. Evander given the right opportunity could and should exceed 30+ goals on a annual basis |

Exactly. I never followed kane in his youth as he was another teams player. But when he was available in 2015 i read up on him. His management failed him. They took a kid that was 18-22 years old and treated him like a child, punishments, etc. For a lot of these kids coming not hockey. their vets become like father figures, as their real fathers are so far away. If he came to vancouver and the twins/linden told him "you are who you are, life is tough. when you need someone to talk to or a shoulder to lean on, you call us and we will be there for you to help you through." let him know that you are there to help him through what he is going through, and simple show him what it is to be an adult, instead of treating him like a child, I think you slowly see a change in how he acts. We would have a solid top 6 guy who may return to that elite player he was starting to be, and we will have him for another 6+ years. |

For the time being, I don't want to see Hansen involved in any deals. He simply brings too much to the table and is extremely versatile. I would of course like to see if we could snag Kane - the guy has a lot of talent but needs to shake those personal demons. I agree that, if anyone could do that, it's Linden et al. There aren't many better examples of class acts then Linden and the Sedins. I believe that he could be turned around with a better atmosphere and situation. That would mean a 30+ goal scorer for a significant term. It really is sad to see such a waste of talent due to off-ice issues, I think a starting point of Sbisa + conditional 2nd round pick (as has been thrown there) could get the ball rolling. |
