I will be happy to unload Sbisa's cap hit at the first opportunity, would rather see Larssen, Tryamkin, Pedan or maybe even Biega dressed in the third pairing than Sbisa.

mind you, I say that now and don't know what's coming back if he is traded away.

and may regret seeing him gone if we have too many injuries on defense.

I dont like larseen together w tree as both are adjusting to NHL. Best not 2 of them at once.
Once thats through though Larssen would be good for offensive zone starts and the non offensive but hit everything Sbisa best on D zone starts. SO switch it up for the pairing based on zone starts

I love the pick for sure, but there's no rush to get him in the lineup. Benning is rebuilding the prospect pool thru the draft very nicely, in three drafts he's got some really good young players!

Finishing 5th last and 3rd last in the past three years really helps though. Finishing that low isn't a rebuild on the fly, it's a rebuild from flat out suckage. Although, it's not an Oilers or Leafs scorch the earth sell everything rebuild, it's more like what the Kings and Hawks did.

if he just turned 18, I wonder if he finished growing (or just)? hardest part for kids is to put weight on while they are still growing.

Maybe it was an issue with Sbisa's pairing last season- Weber or Bartkowski, but if his pairing wasn't able to get it out of the zone right away, it turned into a fire drill...

I want to see Sbisa moved, it would be great if JB could acquire that gritty checking winger he mentioned in his news conference, but I don't think it would be smart to rush OJ into the lineup. and would rather keep Sbisa than see that happen.

but if OJ gets put into the lineup, I would hope he does well.
