If it's not those players, you have to put someone else's cap hit in their place. With those being ELCs, and vet mins(or close to it) their cap projection is more accurate. The Sabres have around 11 million, plus Cody's 1.5.

There is NO WAY that Moulson, Ennis, Gorges, Franson, and Foligno are all here next season. I think we all know that Ennis, Franson, and Foligno are more likely than the others to be dealt. Even Zemgus is brought up in the right deals but I don't know if he is actively being looked to be unloaded.

Franson I would say has a small chance of being dealt, but his value is so low right now, I would be surprised.

These are all wrong projections because they have players like Fasching, COR on the roster when they will most likely be in Rochester ant not count against the cap. My numbers are correct.

Anybody that I say at this point would be pure speculation, so listing off guys would be useless. I could tell you a bunch of guys I would want, but that doesn't mean they are available. Nobody thought Hall was going to be available a year ago, things change. I can't tell the future, but I can tell you I'm going to make a sandwich, be back later.

I agree. I could see a team that gets an injury to a bottom pairing send a 4th or 5th rounder for him in camp though.

I'm not sure TM was exactly crazy about Franson. I'm pretty sure he was a healthy scratch a good deal as he only played in 59 games. Coli played in 24.

I just did the projections on cap friendly and with all the RFA signings we will have around 4 mill maybe at worst 3 mill to spend. We can either bring in Vesey or if we sign Pirri he'll likely cost 2-3 mill or Hudler would cost 3-4 mill. Point is we can afford it

What is the rule now on sending a player like Franson or Moulson down to the AHL?

Does their salary come to a reduced number at our cap hit or what? If I remember they get the same salary actually paid but how does it effect our cap?

If we sign all RFA's we have O'Rile, Kane, Okposo ,Eichel, Reinhart, Moulson, Gionta, Folingo, Larsson, Girgensons, Deslauries. That's 11 forwards.

Bogosian, Kulikov, Risto, Gorges, Franson, McCabe. That's six defenceman

Lehner, Nilsson that's two goalies. Brings us to a total of 19 players. They obviously need 1 more forward for the line up. Let's give them Vesey. That's only 925,000 more. and 20 players. Then let's say they have Nelson as the 7th defenceman that's only an additional 650,000. They don't need to have 23 on the roster but if they do want to bring an extra forward onto the roster to make 22 players then they would just bring up another guy with a low cap hit. The point is it's foolish to consider the Sabres not having enough cap room. If there's someone Murray want's he'll sign or trade for him regardless of cap hit and worry about getting rid of dead weight later.
