The new 3rd line of Moulson-Girgensons-Ennis is purely to get one/two of those asset values up. I suspect none of them will be here for the 17-18 season (thankfully).
Ennis looked like complete poop when last season started with ROR...way, way too much east/west rather than vertical play.

On a ECF team, his SV% and GAA are barely - BARELY - better than Lehner's on our weakass D team.

Yeah, I know so extremely cheap people. They would rather pay more to keep something than to buy something new that costs them less in the long run. ie. an old poopty car that keeps needing work rather than paying more upfront but actually save money. They think extremely short term. Melnyk(sp?) would rather keep doing these stupid one year deals where he's going to get ripped rather than do a long term deal with less annual celery.

Did you only see the three games when Lehner was bad? Johnson was good except for a handful of times where he let in an extremely ill-timed goal, but that's more on the Sabres defense than anything else. If they could learn to shut it down and actually play defense instead of just crossing your fingers and hoping the other guys don't score. Or better yet, stay aggressive, but for that we need a true 1D. Risto is halfway there, he just needs to learn to be better positionally, especially backchecking on the rush which was where he was burned so, so many times last year. Sure, his partner needs to be there to back him up too, but he needs to not get pulled way out of position as much. He needs to learn to use his stick more, he's a tall mother(frank)er. He can use a long stick.

I hear what you are saying but Bishop did this playing many more games and outside of Hedman I wouldn't call TB's defense good. Garrison is good offensively, Coburn is a middle pack dman, Carle was terrible.
