disagree

TBL has better support for Garrison.
Give Tanev the same roster & it would only improve.
TBL r a contender whilst we r trying to return to those heights.

- Nighthawk

Disagree with what? The stats clearly show that Garrison scores and produces primary points at a top pairing level per 60 minutes (which he has been doing for nearly his entire career), while Tanev barely produces offensively at a bottom pairing level per 60. He can move the puck out of the D zone very well, but offense just isnt his thing and thats fine

7 points in 17 playoff games. Which is 33 points in 82 games, however being playoff points, more like 50 points in 82 games.

That would put him top 10 for defensemen scoring last year.

Just reporting the fancy stat take on it. His minutes were definitely less than in the past and nearly zero PP time, which brings his scoring rate per 60 minutes considerably up. I do think he's a #4 at best, but I just dont see how anyone can argue that Tanev is remotely close to Garrison's offensive ability

I wonder how many 3 Rd period leads we blew last year? We missed the playoffs by 6 regulation wins. It was like Gospel last year, blowing 3 rd period leads. I think the D is better this year . That should help some also.

That was definitely frustrating to watch. Is that an indictment of the coaching staff or the players? or a combination of both? it seems fundamental defense shouldn't be that difficult. The Canucks never do anything the easy way, I guess

We will blow even more this year down the stretch with our lack of scoring.

The Sedins playing in the stupid world cup on the first line will mean they will be exhausted by the end of the season.

The real question is how many 3rd period leads will we have this year? you don't have to worry about losing a lead if you don't have one.

Bang!! you female doges been trolled.

I can't believe we are still crying about Garrison. I should not be surprised though seeing we still want to bring back Ehrhoff.

I guess we can look forward to a decade or two how we're should have never let Hamhuis walk?

Would you rather Garrison or Sbisa?
I liked Garry, was really upset when we let him go. It meant a lot to him to play for his hometown team. He took a discount after having a monster year in Florida, then we treat him like a piece of meat and make him waive to get shipped out of town.

If I ever see him again, I will tell him I'm sorry.
