I liked Garry, was really upset when we let him go. It meant a lot to him to play for his hometown team. He took a discount after having a monster year in Florida, then we treat him like a piece of meat and make him waive to get shipped out of town.

dude they play three games in the round robin and 5 if they make the finals - plus with the squad the Swedes are rolling 4 lines - they'll be lucky to play 10-12 mins a game - calm down!

I will go on record that Tanev has more value than Garrison here on in.
Furthermore if JB does trade Tanev if will be for far more than value than Garrison.

Garrison -4 bottom pairing D on a very offensive team
Tanev -8 as a top 4D on a lesser team used as a shutdown D man

Just reporting the fancy stat take on it. His minutes were definitely less than in the past and nearly zero PP time, which brings his scoring rate per 60 minutes considerably up. I do think he's a #4 at best, but I just dont see how anyone can argue that Tanev is remotely close to Garrison's offensive ability

Correct, it would be an awful trade. If a deal with Tanev and Tampa was to occur, Garrison would be the cap dump/throw in. I just do agree with kaaptan that my grandmother has a harder slap shot with a pool noodle than Tanev though

Also, I never said anything about their age so i don't know what you're referring to but I got two words for you - Grouse Grind - look up pal and you'll get an idea of the level of the fitness the Sedans have - not as 26 years olds, currently, as 35 year olds. You think its a fluke that these guys still put up nearly point per game stats at their age??
