LTIR does not kick in until after the season starts. However, you need to be under the cap prior to the start of the season. You cannot take advantage of this cap relief until after the beginning of the season. |

3 mill a year for Foligno is an absolute complete joke, hoping you mean a 2 yr deal. |

Unless they start to move some guys prior to the season, it's going to be cash in for cash out. |

next year Gio and McCormick will save us 5.5, and according to general fanager, a buyout of Moulson next year would save us 2.2 mil. There's 7.7 in savings, with Georges and Kane leaving shortly there after.

they had a few hockey sets from mid 70's missing a few cards (1 or 2) at antique world sunday
I would have grabbed them but I had already picked up 58 off the wall baseball card sets for $20 |

If you go to general fanager and take Rodriguez, C O'Reilly, Derek Grant, Schnieder, Falk, and Ullmark off the cap it put's them at $59,712,022. Which leaves them with $13,287,978 to sign Risto, Girgs, and Foligno. Factor Risto at 5.7 and the other two in that 5-6 range, it really doesn't leave them much wiggle room to bring in a top 6 or top 4 guy. |

Foligno seems to only show up in contract years. Not fond of committing to these players.

Where did u get your estimates for the 3 RFA contracts? Foligno's qualifiying offer is 2.25 and he isn't going to receive much more then that. Girgensons has no leverage. His deal will likely be less then McCabe's. His qualifying offer is in the 900k range.
As to Risto, his deal could be anything. It could be a 2 year bridge deal at 4 per season or a 7 yr 40 mill deal. I'm think 5 for 25 is the most likely as it gives him a chance to sign another huge deal.
Also don't forget Vesey and his $900K salary plus 2.8 in bonuses when he signs.
I agree we are now a cap team, but we'll still have about 4 mill when the season starts plus McCormick's 1.5 on LTIR. If we need more cap room, Franson can always he traded, waived or sent down. |

Matt Martin jut got 2.5 from Toronto, had 19 points in 80 games and has 88 points in 438gp.
Foligno's qualifying offer is 2.5(made 2.25 last year), had 23 points in 75 games and has 93 points in 267 gp.
Like it or not he's going to get 2.5-3 on his next deal. |

I don't think he does. His mind is made up where he wants to go.
Ultimately I think he ends up in Boston.
great for personal choice, but bad in terms of hockey.
Bostons window is closing fast and they are grasping at every glimmer of hope (old vets) they can to win now.
I don't think they do however, as they are just not good enough.
