28 and 82 can have a place on the team if they accept bottom 6 roles and play solid defensively while adding a bit of offense. They can't be the ones counted on for offense late in a game and shouldn't be given offensive starts.
Kane and Ennis I have hope that they can play better than last year. Their career averages dictate that they should.
Moulson just seems to have mailed it in. - Zschalberg
I guess it comes down to coaching and slots
a 3rd line of foligno, girgens and ennis could be a royal pain in the a$$
assuming they go deslaurers, larsson and gionta on the 4th line, which I doubt they slot gionta there |

the old ennis, I would agree
the floater I saw the last year in a half, I want no part of - homiedclown
If he was floating and got almost .5 p/g on a team that he had no chemistry with and had only 1 player (ROR) was doing well in the new system then I've got hope. I wouldn't put him with Jack or ROR, I would have him be on the 3rd line and let that line try and create matchup problems.
As it stands now:
Kane-ROR-Okposo
Gionta-Eichel-Reinhart
Moulson-Ennis/Girgensons-Ennis/Girgensons
Foligno-Larsson-Delauries
I already know you're going to be mad about Gionta in the top 6, I just don't think it matters that much who is next to them. Could put Girgs/Foligno/anyone there and Eichel and Sam will get them some good points.
Edit: If Vesey were to sign he could go there but until then I won't pencil him in |

I like that bottom 6 more at least. I might switch Foligno and Gionta though but that depends on the chemistry. Foligno has worked well with Ennis in the past. |

Dump Kane while you can, I think with good goaltending Sabres will be a wild card or just miss the playoffs which makes your 1st rd next year good, not great.
The perception is that it usually is top 1-10 every year so maybe Kane and a 1st round for a D-Man that can really solidify things.
Kane on LW with Getzlaff and Perry would be appealing to ANH and Fowler in Buffalo would look damn good.
Kane's value is dropping and may be time to part ways? |

The only thing that changes for me is they move Vesey into Bailey's spot and Bailey goes down to Rochester |

That's just a joke 3 mill a year for Foligno, McGinn got 3.3 and he scored 20 goals. - SABRES 89
Yeah I'd like to see more like 2-2.5 for Foligno and 2.5-3 for Girgs.
Foligno has a role to play being a big body...but 10 goals just isn't worth $3M. |

I'd be okay losing Kane if I get a defenseman, but my thing is if Kane's value is already so far down like everyone says why would we sell low? Right now the stock is in a hold rating. You hold and hope it goes up but if you sell low you lose money. If he turns out to be worse you don't lose that much more.
Now, if you think I can get a good Dman for him, like I said, I'm all for it. But I won't do Fowler for Kane and a 1st. That's too much. I'm just okay with doing the 1st for him, not adding more to it. |

Back when we had Stamkos talks we were saying "Is 1M worth losing a player" and for a superstar it's not. For a 4th liner it is. |

Getting Vesey signed would mean a couple guys sit or get moved . The roster is filled with Waiver guys as it is. |

Since his name has been out there do we know what the blues are after for Shattenkirk? (As in are they looking for D back or forwards or draft picks?) |

THis is VERY intriguing as I think he is going to be a HARD guy to send to Rochester. If he will be a top 6 spot over a guy like Ennis or Moulson.. I don't know.
I am hoping that between Bailey or Nylander that one of them has top 6 potential and makes it VERY hard for TM to send them down.
As much as I'd like to say Fasching I think he will be best in Rochester and then be a KEY 2nd or 3rd line winger. |

I would prefer getting a forward back. We need scoring. If Anaheim would give us Rackell i would pull the trigger

Kanes value could be a lot higher that we think. Seems just us fans think it's that low. Same as the Jets did when they traded him. Just cause we care about his off ice issues , doesn't mean another GM feels the same way. |
