Getting Vesey signed would mean a couple guys sit or get moved . The roster is filled with Waiver guys as it is. - cabin
Supposedly meeting with him today... I would say that if he is not signed by Sunday then he is going towards August 15th. That might not mean we are "out" but it will be annoying for us trim our roster. |

When is the development camp? I don't think I've seen anything about the scrimmages like last year

The players are literally taking the ice as we speak for the first day.
They are selling tickets to the scrimmage I think at the end of this week isn't it? Someone could clarify as I am not in the Buffalo area so I pay less attention to that stuff. |

THis is VERY intriguing as I think he is going to be a HARD guy to send to Rochester. If he will be a top 6 spot over a guy like Ennis or Moulson.. I don't know.
I am hoping that between Bailey or Nylander that one of them has top 6 potential and makes it VERY hard for TM to send them down.
As much as I'd like to say Fasching I think he will be best in Rochester and then be a KEY 2nd or 3rd line winger. - JVince11
Bailey, Kane, and Okposo bring a lot of north-south speed and would be tough to handle. That and I like the idea of the prodigal son line of Moulson-Girgs-Ennis |

With no Eichel and Reinhart I've paid less attention too. Still want to get out there and see, but last year was different. That place nearly filled up to see them |

Eichel and Reinhart add quite a bit of speed as well as some sniper like passes to others.
That 3rd line does seem like a positive to me as long as Moulson and Ennis find their game faster than Wears Waldo. |

Bailey impressed me last year. 8 games, 22 shots. I wish he could have put up some points but he had some great opportunities and turned it on when he went back down the the AHL. Last 2 months he had 19 points in 21 games. |

I do get that with those superstars missing... however...
Asplund, Bailey, Baptiste, Cornel, Estephan, Fasching, Glotov, Hagel, Hurley, Karabacek, Murray, Nylander, Olofsson, and Pu among others raise my eyebrows.
Borgen, Fitzgerald, Flortentino, Guhle, Mantha, and Osmanski are nice on D as well.
Cal Peterson and Johansson are a nice touch in goal.
(Ryan Mantha on D might be a name you guys don't register. UFA is a 6'5 225 R shot from Niagra OHL. 25 pts in 65 games. Originally drafted in the 4th by NYR in 2014) |

If he was floating and got almost .5 p/g on a team that he had no chemistry with and had only 1 player (ROR) was doing well in the new system then I've got hope. I wouldn't put him with Jack or ROR, I would have him be on the 3rd line and let that line try and create matchup problems.
As it stands now:
Kane-ROR-Okposo
Gionta-Eichel-Reinhart
Moulson-Ennis/Girgensons-Ennis/Girgensons
Foligno-Larsson-Delauries
I already know you're going to be mad about Gionta in the top 6, I just don't think it matters that much who is next to them. Could put Girgs/Foligno/anyone there and Eichel and Sam will get them some good points.
Edit: If Vesey were to sign he could go there but until then I won't pencil him in - Zschalberg
Last season was all about learning which players had chemistry together....why would you take that work and throw it all out?
One lesson was that Foligno, Gionta, Larsson were great together and were actually the most consistent line through the last quarter of the season. The last 10 games they combined for 8 points, more than any other line combo.
For me, the big lesson was that will be a solid 3 or 4 line, and Jack & Sam work well together......so from the beginning we know there's no reason to mess with those combos. |

Bailey to me has the highest upside for the top six out of all prospects in the system with the exception of Nylander. I like him alot more than Fasching |

This I can agree with.
Estephan, Cornel, and Hurley are too green to judge but they could be top 6 players as well.
Bailey is "closest" for sure. |

You want to rely on Gionta, Foligno, and Larsson for points. That's why I throw that out. Not to mention we've seen multiple times where a line does well to end the season and then doesn't play the same the next season together.
I kept Kane and ROR together because they played well. I kept Eichel and Reinhart together because they played well. You have Ennis coming back, Moulson still on the team, another top 6 spot taken by Okposo, and a potential one by Vesey.
Foligno and Larsson are best used on the 4th line. If you want to put Gionta down there too then fine, that'll be the 4th line. But I'm not putting them out there with the game on the line because I have better players for that. Otherwise we should get Regier and Ruff back so we can put Gaustad, Hecht, and Greir out with 30 seconds left down a goal. |

Very intriguing invite to me - MCGUIZZY
He was apparently acquired in a trade with WSH on draft day and they declined to offer him a contract which allowed him to become a UFA.
Take it for what it's worth. Maybe there is more to it than I know but I cna't find it on google if so.
LOVE that size and still putting up points as well. |
